I am not one for posting videos on my blog often, but this one kind of hit the nail on its head. This video released yesterday by an Indian bunch of comedians, showcases their take on the Indian air traveller, and hence has its rightful place on this blog. Just be aware, there is a lot of slang and unparliamentary language used here, so do not play this when the kids are around! What do you think? Indigo, India’s largest carrier by market share, recently completed 7 years of operations. And the frugal low cost airline threw a party to celebrate the occasion. Not just that, they shot a music video for the party, which even has the usually serious Aditya Ghosh, their CEO, singing and dancing, along with a few cheeky remarks for the competition as well. I couldn’t stop laughing. Have a look here, what do you think? Live From A Lounge is present on Facebook, Twitter & available via email, RSS.
Most of the videos I post here are humorous, but this one is trying to get across a message. An Air India pilot, trained to fly the 787 but mostly on the ground, made this rap video and posted it on YouTube about the situation at the airline and what he has to go through. Worth a watch! Your views, guys? My heart goes out for this guy! Live From A Lounge is present on Facebook, Twitter & available via email, RSS.
There are and there will continue to be weirdo’s in this world. A couple of days back, on a Mumbai – Delhi Indigo Airlines flight, one of these blokes stood up and acted violent on a plane. When he started charging towards the cockpit, the crew had to block the way with a food cart. He went to the extent of slapping an airhostess as well. The passenger was brought under control, and handed over to airport security on touchdown. These are the kind of passengers who don’t just bring us shame, but stricter security procedures! Do not behave like this on a plane, okay? Live From A Lounge is present on Facebook, Twitter & available via email, RSS.
If you booked free tickets around Europe on Alitalia last week, using their Japanese website and then had your tickets cancelled, you got to watch this video to find out who is responsible. At least this time it wasn’t the bloggers who blew it up 😉 Live From A Lounge is present on Facebook, Twitter & available via email, RSS.
I saw this interesting spoof on Air India’s new 787 planes, which I am sure would leave you in splits! If Eva Air’s Hello Kitty airplane fascinates you, recently Walt Disney India went out to collaborate with Jet Airways to do something similar. For a whole month, a Jet Airways Boeing 737-800 (VT-JGC) will be flying around wrapped with Disney characters. Here is a time-lapse video of the making of the plane. This is the second Jet Airways livery change this year and I expect a lot more to come. Here is the first one earlier this year with the Nokia Lumia wrap. “If its not Boeing, I’m not going” is the common adage you learn while you’re in the Washington state of USA, and it gets louder the closer you get to Seattle. I’ve been a great fan of Boeing airplanes for a very long time and hence keenly looking over the various phases of the B787’s development. I recently discovered a video that Boeing uploaded a few days back, encapsulating the various tests the Boeing 787 airplane went through to get the new plane certified and upto safetry standards. Turn up the volume, get the popcorn, at 11:32, this is a mini-movie in itself. All of it is fascinating, some more than the others at 4:20 where you get to see the high-speed…
Delta Airlines recently punched a few holes in a bag, and loaded it up with a few expensive cameras to tell us how they handle the bags which most of us pay precious $ 30 – 60 to travel with us. Have a look into this interesting and insightful video on the journey of your bag!
I discovered this hilarious video parody today thanks to Randy’s tweet this morning. Hitler wants to fly on the Star Mega Do 3, and is worried he’ll not be able to fly with Randy because he does not have enough details on how things are progressing! Though I could not quite figure out the use of the ‘fair use’ phrase! I am sure he went on to say, “Hail Randy!” How I wish I was going to be there to witness both of them take the front row together of the Continental jet being chartered for the event! 😉 Apart from a pot shot on Hyatt and United, I love the part where he wonders about those pictures from Boeing.…
