I wrote a couple of hours back about the ICICI Bank Jet Airways credit card being available. I jumped the gun in calling it is a boring card. Have a look. Details out about the new Jet Airways ICICI Bank card
The full details of the Jet Airways ICICI Bank credit cards are going to be a short while away, the formal launch of the credit card happened yesterday, and some details are out as per the reports in the press and on the website of ICICI Bank. Here is what I can gather from the press so far: The cards will be offered in three different variants – Sapphiro, Rubyx and Coral in partnership with American Express and Visa, with JetPrivilege card members allowed to convert daily purchases to flying miles. Customers will have the option to apply for a standalone American Express or Visa Credit Card or enjoy the benefits of applying for both cards with a single application.…
Jet Airways’ JetPrivilege is down for an upgrade, will we get mobile apps soon?
Beginning 14 August 2012 2200 hours IST throught 20 August 2012 1300 hours, Jet Airways is working on implementing a new CRM platform for their Jet Privilege systems. Hence, all functionality for Jet Privilege will be suspended between these hours and one will not be able to check their balances, or make any award bookings on Jet Airways website (www.jetairways.com) for the Jet Privilege accounts. Jet Privilege Service Centre will also be accessible with limited information, and any information available with them will be as of 14 August 2012. Curiously, the update email in this respect arrived 30 minutes before the website was taken down, not giving the members enough of a chance to do any housekeeping activity they would…
Did you get your Jet Airways “Wheel of Fortune” prize yet?
Back in June 2012, Jet Airways took a sort of a poll about their new and coming co-branded credit card partnerships, branded the “Wheel of Fortune” contest. The initial participants were offered a prize, that if they got the correct answer, they get a 1-year fee waiver on their credit card application upon approval. However, later the Terms & Conditions were changed to make it 1000 JP Miles per correct answer. Evidently, some people will now get the First year free offer and some others will get the 1000 JP Miles. Here are two extracts from the T&C: Jet Airways reserves the right to offer eligible winners 1,000 Bonus JPMiles or any other equivalent offer The “First year Fee waiver”…
Sunday Plastic: Jet Privilege HDFC Bank World Credit Card
Last week, HDFC Bank and Jet Airways finally announced the details of their co-branded credit card, which was initially announced on 13th July 2012. The new JP co-branded credit card will come in 3 variations: World, Platinum and Titanium. Here is a review on the World Credit Card, which is the top-tier credit card from this tie up. HDFC Bank is currently offering this card product on the MasterCard platform only. Sign-up bonus: On signing on for the card, you will be offered 5,000 JP Miles (first swipe within 90 days), another 5,000 JP Miles on spend of Rs. 75,000 (within the first 90 days), one complimentary base fare waiver domestic ticket code (fuel surcharge and taxes to be paid)…
Jet Airways–HDFC Bank Credit Card is now free for Jet Airways Platinum
Yesterday I wrote about the new Jet Privilege – HDFC Bank credit cards which are now out in the market. In a comparison with the old tie-up with Citibank, there were some better benefits which I pointed out. Here is a summary: JetPrivilege Platinum members used to have the Citibank Credit Card free as long as they held their Platinum tier. With HDFC Bank, that was not the case. In the tie-up with Citibank, there were renewal benefits where the card-members would get bonus miles on fee payment every year. With HDFC Bank, that benefit was withdrawn. The upgrade vouchers for Rs. 2,00,000 spend offered by Citibank are replaced with one tier point for the same spend with HDFC Bank.…
Jet Airways’ HDFC Bank co-branded credit card does not raise the bar!
Jet Airways announced three weeks back that they were going to partner with 3 banks to launch co-branded credit cards and HDFC Bank will be the first off the mark there. Last evening, the product details of the HDFC Bank – Jet Airways credit card were put out on the HDFC Bank website. In summary, the Jet Privilege HDFC Bank credit cards will be offered in 3 variants (all MasterCards) : World, Platinum and Titanium. Have a look below at the comparison sheet of the three versions (click on the image to zoom in). I will review all the products in detail in my review series of credit cards for mileage in the coming days, but here are some first…
40 JP Miles per Rs. 100 spent on flowers till 15th August 2012
Its the festive season and if you’re looking forward to sending flowers to your loved ones around India (or in India, depending on your location), you can now earn 40 JP Miles per Rs. 100 spent on the way. From 1st to 15th August 2012, Ferns n Petals is offering 40 JP Miles instead of the usual 30 JP Miles per Rs. 100 spent on your transactions on their website using this link. JP Miles cost Rs. 1.25 per JP Mile on purchase, and even with the 40% bonus offer, would cost you Rs. 1.12 per JP Mile to buy. If you purely looked at this as a mileage buying opportunity, you’re out of the money by Rs. 65/100, but…
Star Alliance and Jet Airways – 3rd time lucky?
I don’t know if the timing of this bit of news was timed such, but the formal announcement of Jet Airways seeking Government of India’ permission to join the Star Alliance came out in the open exactly a year after Air India’s joining the alliance was put on hold. A news report published in the Mint (an editorial collaboration with the WSJ) last night puts out in the open what has been long known to be Jet Airways’ and Star Alliance’s secret ambition. After Air India’s attempts to join *A faulted and Kingfisher Airlines shrunk rapidly to keep out of oneworld, this is the third attempt of an Indian carrier to join an airline alliance. A meeting between Jet Airways…
Jet Airways’s announces new credit card partnerships with 3 banks
About 7 weeks back I informed you about the on going trouble between Jet Airways and Citibank and how their 12-year long credit card partnership was coming to an end with effect from 15th July 2012. I had hinted on the partners in the works on this FlyerTalk thread, and both my predictions have come true! Now, the new tie-ups have been announced just in the nick of time, just like Jet Airways promised, but it looks like 2 out of the 3 are still work in progress. I don’t thing either of these 3 banks is going to be jumping with joy at their partnerships, since they will obviously be able to offer airmiles as rewards to their customers,…
Hang on, do not use your Citi PremierMiles for Jet Airways redemptions
So I have been telling you to go get yourselves the Citibank PremierMiles Credit Card for a while, right? Like I recently wrote, Citibank and Jet Airways walked away from the Jet Airways co-branded partnership. But this seems to have had a huge impact on the ability of Citibank to run its PremierMiles program as well. A few days after this move, Citibank PremierMiles portal www.premiermiles.co.in could not display any tickets on Jet Airways, either for revenue or for redemption. What validated the assumption that Jet Airways/Jet Konnect was not showing up on the PremierMiles website by design was this little note that turns up every now and then asking you to book on the Jet Airways website and get…
