Hyatt scoops 85 Luxury Hotels buying out Two Roads Hospitality

Hyatt has 821 hotels around the globe. It has 28 properties in India. Hyatt has been for a long time looking to expand its portfolio significantly by taking over Hospitality groups. Hyatt has bought Two Road Hospitality for USD 480 million. Two Roads Hospitality has a portfolio of close to 100 hotels under Alila, Destination, Joie de Vivre, Thomson, tommie and some affiliate hotels.

Air India’s terrible fleet utilisation & golden codeshare opportunity missed?

Air India currently has a fleet of 124 aircraft excluding subsidiaries. The fleet comprises of 22 Airbus A319, 34 Airbus A320/A320neo, 20 Airbus A321, 4 Boeing B747, 18 Boeing B777 and 27 Boeing B787-8. Their Boeing B777s and B787s are heavily underutilised so is their narrowbody fleet. Air India only requires 11/16 Boeing B777 aircraft and 22/27 Boeing B787 aircraft they have in their fleet. Rest of the fleet is sitting on the ground either for maintenance or want of routes to ply on.
