I recently flew the new Jet Airways service between India and the Netherlands, which later continues to North America as well, in Business Class. Here is the trip report of the flight. I had a good one for sure!
There is a new GVK Lounge for International travellers out of Mumbai Airport. We had a chance to visit it earlier this week, and here is a review of the new lounge from our own experience. If you fly often out of Mumbai, this is definitely going to impact you.
It is a little bit sad to see the state of affairs at Air India being as messy as I saw earlier this week when I flew them. Everything is broken on their planes, and the general apathy of the people in their offices towards passengers is unbeatable! They just don’t want to seem to fix the customer experience.
Jet Airways operates a daily flight on the Mumbai – Delhi and Delhi – Mumbai segment with their Airbus 330-200 planes, which they also fly abroad. This could be an opportunity to try out their widebody product while flying domestically.
Nepal Diaries: For our departure flight from Kathmandu, we arrived at the Tribhuvan International Airport well in time 3 hours before departure. Right at the entrance to the terminal, all our bags were scanned and we were hand frisked in a very casual manner.
Mumbai Airport’s management has sort of pushed the limits on how lounge food should be. I was pleasantly surprised the first time I was at the GVK Lounge international, and then the domestic one. Now, there is new food and drinks which do make me jump with joy, and maybe you too!

Mumbai is finally getting ready for an integrated terminal in Mumbai Terminal 2. Jet Airways is going to start all their domestic operations at Terminal 2, after Air India already did so last year.

Mumbai Terminal 2, Level 3 has a new lounge which is accessible for domestic passengers. This Lounge is an integral part of CSIA and has a very nice assortment of food and drinks, apart from power plugs for everyone to use.
With that kind of attention to detail, this could easily be my favourite lounge for use during domestic transfers at this point of time via Mumbai
On the #redcarpettrip, we were travelling Mumbai to Los Angeles on the first leg of the trip. We chose to fly Singapore Airlines to the west coast, in their Suites F product.
This is a review of the first leg of the trip between Mumbai and Singapore. SQ was the first carrier to start flying an A380 from India, and if you fly in their F class product, you are in for a suite surprise!
