Avianca’s LifeMiles is running a new sale where you can book Star Alliance award tickets for fewer miles. Book before September 18, 2018, and travel within a year. Now maybe the time to book that First Class award ticket. Many routes between the USA and South East Asia.
Lufthansa First Class Award Space is now available on redemptions through the entire availability schedule. If you have plans to go somewhere and visit Lufthansa along the way, now may be a good time to hit the redemption button.
LifeMiles is offering a buy 1, get 1.2 miles bonus sale till May 29, 2015. Citibank is offering a 5x on international spend promotion on the PremierMiles credit card. There is a potential double dip opportunity in the making here.
Update: As of December 2, 2014, it is still possible to buy these miles with a bonus of 125% Lifemiles is the frequent flyer program of Avianca, and one of the Star Alliance programs which allows you to make some reasonable award bookings. They are currently holding one of their sales where you can buy miles @ USD 33/1000 Miles, and they give you 2000 miles for the price, all the way up to 75000 miles purchase. As the year draws to a close, I’m trying to wind down for the next few days. But I am also taking this time to reflect on my travels this year and plan out travels for the coming year. And my advice is, if you do not have an account with Avianca’s LifeMiles program, you should get one now. Avianca is a South American airlines recent entrant to the Star Alliance, namely in June 2012, and their award chart is a very reasonable one for those who would want to fly premium cabins.
