I stayed at an IHG hotel a couple of weeks ago with no plans to return. Except the hotel has another reservation on file for me tonight. And IHG Corporate or I can’t seem to cancel it just yet. This is gonna be so much fun, not!

I am red all over my face seething with some sort of pent-up anger. I’ve just discovered that luxury is taxed differently in the western world as compared to India as compared to south-east Asia, and boo-yeah, we are paying a lot more taxes on those hotel stays now as compared to earlier. Nice moneygrab, eh?
Evidently, Jet Airways is no longer making a fuss about Economy Class Elite passengers preboarding ahead of the rest of the back of the plane. This is based on anecdotal experiences, but maybe you’ve heard or observed something as well? Do let us know.

Qatar has just opened up their country for visitors from 80 countries who can enter the country without a prior visa to Qatar. These countries include India, USA, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and 75 others….
There are a whole lot of changes coming to the Regalia and Diners Club cards offered by HDFC Bank. And this will all be next week onwards. All I could advise is salvage all you can, because this is a pure devaluation coming in a week, no upside here!
