Vistara to serve Starbucks on their flights!

Close on the heels of Jet Airways’ tie-up with Subway and Krispy Kreme, for them to serve food on short-haul 9W domestic flights, Air Vistara has come up with their tie-up with Starbucks today.

Going forward, at a yet unannounced date this year, freshly-brewed Starbucks Coffee will be served in Business and Premium Economy classes of the airline. I am slightly foxed about why Economy has been left out, because they are half the plane and a big branding opportunity for the airline/coffee company as well. I mean I personally fly Economy all the time, but I drink more Starbucks than most people in my 10 feet radius. Unless of course, Vistara believes in taking out the premium from the Economy meal.

I’ve always believed airlines are a great place to do product placements, and this is one more of those going live. I’ll look forward to some Starbucks roast on my next Vistara flight for sure!
