Jet Airways and Delta are now making a new partnership at London Heathrow, along with Virgin Atlantic. This expands the Jet Airways partnership for the Americas across Delta / KLM / Air France / Virgin Atlantic. Great news for the flyers who shuttle half way across the globe then.

Clearly the movies and flying have been interconnected for a long time, but Virgin Atlantic is trying to make an interesting twist on the Indian movies business, by riding a discount promotion on the Bollywood plank. They’ve announced a new promotion called “Feel like a Star”, where they are offering discounts to people with the 12 first names listed below, since the airline says these are the 12 most often used names in Hindi movies: Karan Anthony Vijay Arjun Rahul Rohit Simran Tina Pooja Priya Kiran Sonia While the process of getting this list out is debatable because my first name is not on this list , the airline is offering a 5% discount on economy fares and 10% discount…
26th January is a great day for airlines to roll out offers for Indians travelling around the world, and this year is no different. I tried summarising a few offers for all of you in this post: Emirates is offering 10% to select destinations across the world from India for booking it up by 26 January 2014 and travel upto 10th April 2014. Destinations include Sao Paulo, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Nice, Prague, Seychelles & Cape Town. Etihad is offering business class deals to Africa, Europe & the UAE, and is valid for booking till 28th January 2014, and travel till June 30, 2014. Virgin Atlantic is offering special fares to London and onwards to the USA from Mumbai and Delhi which…

So I never had a hang of what goes on in their premium cabins on flights from Heathrow, where they have a bilingual menu for their guests from India in English and Hindi. An acquaintance recently happened to be around, and discovered this hilarious menu, where the English menu was literally translated to Hindi. So, Pudding has become halwa in Hindi, and on the other hand, Rise & Shine, their label for their breakfast service has been left in Hindi rather than maybe just labelling it…
British Airways is offering a 3-day sale from all its Indian ports to London for booking till midnight of 27th July 2012, where it is offering flights from upwards of Rs. 52,000 for a round trip to London. The fare is valid on a 7-day advance fare booking. I looked up the fare on their website, and it does look lucrative as compared to the regular British Airways fares from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. And they are not alone, seems like Virgin Atlantic has matched them on this route. Here is a screenshot of a sample fare from ITA for a Mumbai-London flight in November 2012, and Virgin Atlantic with their new product on the Airbus 330 will…
