2,500 JPMiles for enrolment with JetPrivilege

Jet Airways is offering all new members who sign up using their recent link, a sign-up bonus of 2,500 JetPrivilege miles. JetPrivilege does bring up this promotion from time to time. Points usually post instantaneously or within a few hours. While the duration of the promotion is unspecified, only new members should enrol using this link, because existing accounts won’t get any bonus miles to enrol again, and opening a new account is useless for you since you’re allowed only one JP account under the terms of the program. Mileage credits are usually instantaneous, or within a few hours. So, if you intend to be crediting miles to JetPrivilege for flights on Jet Airways or other partner carriers, this may…

An attempt with trying to book 0 JPmiles tickets

A couple of days back, I was in ticket booking mode, with a mix of work and play tickets being booked up. Now, while I usually book up tickets on revenue rates only, to make sure I am closer to requalification for the year, this one time I wanted to look up some reward tickets as well. And to my surprise, this is what turned up: Not bad at all, I thought. It said 0 JP Miles all over. I was already making a mental map of the places I could be visiting with this! So I tried a few random segments and it was all turning up like this, and I was convinced there was a system glitch somewhere.…

Jet Airways activation bonuses posting

A while back I had mentioned that Jet Airways had sent some members emails that they would be getting 3x miles if they flew Jet Airways or JetKonnect again in the near future. Members receiving the promotion were preregistered in the promotion, and the miles were going to credit automatically. This set of people who were sent the emails were those who hadn’t travelled with Jet Airways in a while. I wasn’t aware my brother on that list, they sure did put him on that list. And the activation miles posted along with the flight miles for the said flight. So, in case you flew a Jet Airways flight recently, after a long while, say 12 months or so, you…

Jet Airways started a promotion to offer a 20% bonus on converting your credit card points to JP Miles in June, and it was initially scheduled to last only till July 15, 2013. Just when I posted a reminder call yesterday, I got a new mail from 9W, revising the dates.   Anyhow, under the extended promotion, you can transfer your various credit card points to Jet Airways JP program right until September 30 to be eligible for a 20% bonus. In May 2013, American Express and British Airways started to offer a joint conversion bonus, which offered a 30% bonus on converting American Express Membership Rewards (for cards issued in India), to Avios. Amex MR usually convert to Avios @ 2MR = 1 Avios, however, with this promotion, it goes down to 1.54 MR = 1 Avios. The deadline to convert to Avios is by 15 July, so if you’d like to ride on this conversion, I’d advise you to move your MR to Avios within the next day or two. Amex to BA conversions usually take about 24 hours to reflect in the Avios account. You could find the details in the above mentioned post. In June 2013, Jet…

Your Jet Privilege conversion promo questions answered

Last week, I posted about Jet Airways offering a 20% bonus on converting your credit card points to Jet Privilege miles. I got a few queries about the transfer process and/or output, and I thought I’d answer them here in public interest: I got a question on Twitter, asking me if the 20% JP Miles bonus could be stacked with the 10% discount on web redemptions at Amex Membership Rewards. The answer to that, is No. The Amex Membership Rewards web redemption discount is not applicable on all categories, and Airline miles is one of them. So, you’d just transfer the applicable points currency from your credit card account and Jet Airways would credit the appropriate number of miles to…
