JetPrivilege has been running a great promotion since March 2012, where they offer a 20% discount on the published requirement of JPMiles on any domestic sector in the the business or economy section of the plane, if you book your award ticket using their website JetAirways.com. This promotion is not available for you to call and book, or book via a ticketing centre.

The promotion is usually run for a period of 6 months or so, and has been extended on a rolling basis. The last announcement for the promotion put it out till September 30, 2013 for booking and travel. Now, Jet Airways has updated their website to indicate that the promotion date has been extended till March 2014. Which means, award inventory uptil March 2014 will be available for redemption online at this reduced rates.

However, if you had already booked a redemption ticket earlier and would like to now apply the promotion to it, tough luck. The T&C state, “We will be unable to extend the 20% OFF on redemption JPMiles offer, towards such cases wherein regular JPMiles have already been redeemed prior to August 14, 2013 for award travel to be undertaken between August 14, 2013 and March 31, 2014.”

Alongside, Jet Airways had also introduced a new promotion in January 2013, where they offered 25% off published redemption rates for redemption travel on India – ASEAN/Middle East  routes in the economy section. The following routes and vice versa are covered:

• Mumbai to: Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Dubai, Hong Kong, Muscat, Singapore
• Delhi to: Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore
• Kolkata to: Bangkok
• Chennai to: Singapore
• Mangalore to: Dubai
• Thiruvananthapuram to: Muscat
• Kochi to: Muscat and Sharjah

I think the domestic promotion is just an awesome one, and maybe 9W should take a leaf from the book of Singapore Airlines and convert this into a permanent feature rather than extending it every 6 months.
