Confirmed: Boeing will close Boeing 747 production and postpone 777X first delivery to 2022

Boeing today declared that they will be downsizing the number of planes they build every month in anticipation of the CoronaVirus induced slowdown for aviation. This also means they have now confirmed that they will shut the Boeing 747 production soon.

Boeing calls off its joint venture with Embraer; Embraer terms it unfair

Boeing, over the past 24 hours, has cancelled a deal to purchase 80% of Embraer’s commercial aviation business as the timelines to close the deal expired yesterday. Embraer states that it was ready to close the deal but it was wrongfully terminated.

Boeing Statement on 737 MAX postpones (re)entry into service till mid-2020

The Boeing 737 MAX won’t come back in the air at least till June 2020, as per the latest statement from Boeing. This is not good news for the airlines, nor for the customers, who are suffering through high fares at the moment and reduced capacity.
