Vistara is all set to take wings a couple of days down the line, with a special inaugural flight UK 890 in between Delhi and Mumbai on January 9, 2015. I’ve covered the first look of the product and the loyalty program Club Vistara in detail a few days ago. However, it turns out that now the tickets are selling at a much cheaper price. If you would like to have the Vistara experience, feel free to book yourself a ticket on the inaugural. Here are the prices: These are round…

All you need to know about Vistara (taking flight on January 9, 2015)
Vistara is all set to take to the skies. They received their Air Operator Permit earlier this week, and will be launching their first flight on the Delhi-Mumbai-Ahmedabad routes on January 9, 2015. Like I already mentioned before, the tailsign for Vistara will be UK. From whatever I have been able to gather at the moment, the inaugural flight will be UK-890 on BOM-DEL on January 9, 2015 at 12:30 PM from Delhi, arriving into Mumbai at 14:45 PM. Vistara will start operating with 2 planes (airbus A320-200s). Here is a primitive schedule for the first few days I could cobble together via the various OTAs: 09 January 2014 UK890 DEL1230 BOM1445 A320 UK895 BOM1655 DEL1905 A320 UK228 DEL1730 BOM1940…
Vistara completes proving flights, on track for license
Air Vistara, the upstart full-service carrier which is backed by Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, seems all set to receive its license soon. The airline had received their first plane a few months ago, but getting their paperwork together turned out to be a little more time consuming than they thought it would be. Anyhow, it turns out, in the late nights of last week, Vistara’s crew operated DEL-BOM-AMD-DEL and DEL-JAI-DEL to complete the 5 proving flights that are required to get an Airline Operator Permit in India. With this move, Air Vistara looks all set to take off, and hopes to receive its license next week. We still don’t know a date for launch of operations, but it should…
