SAS Loyalty Programme Eurobonus offering Status Match in India

Eurobonus, SAS’s loyalty programme, has just announced a new paid status match promotion, exclusively for residents of India. The airline offers the ability to match all the way up to Diamond status.

SAS Eurobonus’s status match promotion

statusmatch.com has partnered with SAS Eurobonus to offer a status match, allowing you to earn Silver, Gold, or Diamond status. The promotional offer is available to residents of India only.

The status match request should take just a minute to complete, but it may take up to five business days to be approved.

Application fees apply and range from EUR 39 (~INR 4300) to EUR 159 (~INR 17,000). This offer is only available to tier members residing in India. No flight challenge is required. Upon approval, you will receive SAS EuroBonus status for the remainder of your existing EuroBonus year + 12 months.

During the registration process, Status Match may also ask you for proof of your eligible frequent-flyer status (e.g., a photo of your status card), and you may be asked to complete an identity check, including providing your passport or driver’s licence.

What programmes can you match the status from?

You can match from the following seven programmes:

  1. Air India
  2. Lufthansa Group Airlines
  3. British Airways
  4. Qatar
  5. Emirates
  6. Turkish Airlines
  7. United Airlines

Status earns more value with SAS Gold and SAS Diamond if you are flying on a SkyTeam member airline or on SAS itself.

  1. Thanks for the heads up Ajay. Just applied for diamond match using AI plat status. Let’s see if it goes through. Have a few eurotrips later this year, could come in handy.

  2. Air France does elite status soft-landings. So if you suspect you won’t re-qualify for any status but want status benefits longer, then paying up for Platinum will get you Platinum status for one membership year, Gold for one membership year and Silver for one membership year if FlyingBlue keeps with this policy of soft-landings.

  3. I did it last round, and will maintain the gold status if not go for platinum. It’s definitely well worth it for me since I travel to Europe multiple times per year.
