Indigo, India’s largest carrier by market share, recently completed 7 years of operations. And the frugal low cost airline threw a party to celebrate the occasion. Not just that, they shot a music video for the party, which even has the usually serious Aditya Ghosh, their CEO, singing and dancing, along with a few cheeky remarks for the competition as well. At the beginning of the month, I had written about the current promotion from Citibank for the PremierMiles credit card, where you earn 2x PremierMiles for all spends between August 01, 2013 to September 30, 2013. The recent festival season in India presented an interesting opportunity to earn miles & points, and also be paid for it. One of the banks in India was offering gift cards at a discount on the face value of the gift card, which essentially meant you would be getting more money to spend on the card than how much you paid for it. There was a 5% discount, so if you bought the gift cards worth INR 3,000, you only paid INR 2,850 for it. Taj Hotels run their own loyalty program for their hotel chains across the world (brands include Taj, Vivanta & Gateway).
