I realised it has been a while since I informed you about what is going on and how are things at the back end of the blog. Some of you’ve also pinged in to ask about my columns.

First things first, there have been some excessive downtimes with BoardingArea overall of late, and these have been analysed to belong mostly to Amazon Web Services, the cloud server that is a part of the problem. However, some other times it is more some lines of bad code as well, but there is assurance that BoardingArea will be moving to a better server soon, so thanks to the folks who manage BoardingArea for that.

Next, how are we doing? Thank you for coming back day after day to look up the blog. I recently started to participate in the IndiBlogger platform, which is a directory of Indian blogs. Happy to report, the first rankings we received there for September 2012, indicate we are top of the game for Indian travel blogs. Your support makes it possible!

Now to the columns. If you’ve subscribed to the Moneylife magazine, the columns still go there. They still come up online as well on www.moneylife.in, and are for you if you’re an Indian traveller who wants to travel better, or travel for free. Look out for “Live From A Lounge”, which is the column name we use there as well. When I have some more time on hand, I’ll add the links to the Media page.

More, the trip reports. Guilty as charged. I have so many things to share with you guys that the TRs are affected a bit in their frequency. But I promise to bring it back on track as soon as possible. Old reports get archived on the Trip Reports page.
