Last year, Maharashtra government guidelines for inter-state travel mandated that anyone travelling into Maharashtra from Delhi, Goa, Gujarat and Rajasthan need to be evaluated for CoVid-19 before arrival inside the state since late November 2020. Subsequently, Maharashtra has added Kerala to this list in the wake of rising numbers in Kerala. Now, on the same lines, there are new Karnataka Covid Travel rules.
Karnataka now requires that anyone entering the state from Kerala and Maharashtra will be required to present a CoVid-19 negative test before you arrive in Karnataka. This is on account of the increased number of CoVid-19 cases being reported from Kerala and Maharashtra.
Karnataka State Travel Rules for Kerala (notified on February 16, 2021)
The notification states that all those who arrive in Karnataka from Kerala should produce a CoVid-19 negative certificate for checking into a hotel, hostel, resort, etc. The certificate should not be older than 72 hours. Similarly, for air travel, anyone arriving from any airport in Kerala (Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Calicut and Kannur) to Karnataka (Bangalore, Mangalore, Mysore, Hubbali, Belgaum, Bellary and Shimoga), you will now need to present a CoVid-19 negative report not older than 72 hours before the time of departure.
Karnataka State Travel Rules for Maharashtra (notified on February 20, 2021)
The notification states that all those who arrive in Karnataka from Maharashtra should produce a CoVid-19 negative certificate for travel. The certificate should not be older than 72 hours. For air travel, the airline staff is supposed to check your report before allowing you to board the plane from airports such as Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, amongst others, to arrive at one of the seven airports in Karnataka. This notification is also valid for short travel, such as same-day trips in and out of Karnataka.

Karnataka’s Government has mandated that before you land in the state, you will need to be tested for CoVid-19 and have a negative RT-PCR test within 72 hours before arriving in Karnataka. Road and Rail travel has similar notifications. This is now valid for travel from Maharashtra and Kerala.

We are planning to travel by car from Goa to Belgaum and from Belgaum to Kolhapur and same day we will be back from Kolhapur to Goa. Do we need covaid test ? We will be travelling by car door to door … only to pick my parents

One question. I have a BLR-MUM on 24th night and MUM-BLR on 25th night, both on Vistata. In that case how do I produce PT-PCR certificate as there is no way to do the test on 25th in Mumbai and get the results before I board evening flight? I can do the test in Bangalore and show the Bangalore certificate, but that would defeat the purpose of why the test is needed in the first place for those coming from Mumbai.
Is there any transit criteria, would my travel come under transit as I am taking two flights in less than 24 hr duration. Also can I do the test at BLR airport when I land on 25th night?
I will anyways call the airline for confirmation, but if anyone knows, please let me know
@Sourabh, I think you will either need a fast RT-PCR done, or you carry a report from BLR. In the literal sense, they should not allow you on a plane on the 25th night without an RT PCR certificate. The onus here is on the airline, so they don’t have the power to make exceptions.

As you mentioned, I think the best option for me is to carry a certificate from Bangalore only. I tried calling the airline, but the executive did not have answer to this specific case of mine.
Tried calling the BLR airport also, but no one seems to be answering.
If we come from Delhi though we need a covid 19 reports?
