JCB (the Japan Credit Bureau), which operates in India through a partnership with RuPay since 2019, has been offering some insane 25% cashback on international spending over the past year. Now, they have launched the offer a second time this year. When you spend abroad on your RuPay – JCB Card, you get a straight 25% cashback (up to INR 1500 per transaction).
RuPay JCB Cards are offering a 25% Cashback on International Spends.
Indian card payment network RuPay, in partnership with JCB International, has announced a limited-time cashback offer for all RuPay JCB Debit & Credit cardholders. With the offer, cardholders will receive 25% cashback for Point of Sale (POS) transactions at stores in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and the Philippines till December 31, 2025.
To become eligible for the cashback, a cardholder must perform a minimum of two POS transactions in any of these countries during the offer period. There is no minimum spending requirement. The maximum eligible cashback per transaction is INR 1,500, with a total cap of INR 15,000 per card. This clearly means that online transactions do not qualify for cashback. You only get it when you physically swipe your credit card at least twice.
The cashback amount (in INR) will be credited in the RuPay JCB Global Card holder’s respective account linked with the RuPay JCB Global Card used for availing the offer through his/her RuPay JCB Global Card issuing bank, after 60 days from the end of the campaign period in which the transaction was processed. No doubt, this cashback promotion has been a hit for RuPay/JCB since they keep bringing it back. However, the number of countries keeps fluctuating:
- June 15 – August 31, 2025: Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
- January 16 – 29, 2025: Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines and Singapore, with 25% Cashback being up to INR 3,000 per transaction.
- October 30, 2024 – January 29, 2025: Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines, with 25% Cashback being up to INR 3,000 per transaction
- May 15 – August 15, 2023: 40% Cashback for PoS spends in the UAE, Thailand, Malaysia, and Spain, with cashback being up to INR 3,000 per transaction.
What banks issue RuPay JCB Credit Cards?
It is important to note that not all RuPay Credit Cards issued there are compatible with the JCB Network and hence they don’t all qualify for this offer. Certain issuers issue RuPay JCB Credit Cards. Here are those.

Here is one card that is easy to get for this promotion. The Yes Bank Kredit.Pe ACE Credit Card. This is a LifeTime Free Credit Card which gives 2% Rewards on UPI and 3% Rewards on Offline Spends.
There are also some debit cards that are on RuPay, JCB, and they qualify as well.

Here, ten swipes made on physical machines in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and the Philippines will get a 25% cashback, up to INR 1500 each, as long as it is made on a RuPay JCB Credit Card such as Yes Bank Kredit.Pe ACE Credit Card.
