Free HDFC Dineout Passport subscription voucher for Super-Premium HDFC Bank Credit Cardmembers

HDFC Bank and Dineout, the table-booking app, had tied up at the beginning of 2021, offering a free HDFC Dineout Passport Voucher to many HDFC Bank Cardmembers. The collaboration does not just give away a free subscription to the service, but also provides discounts on dining out if you pay with Dineout Pay.

Complimentary HDFC Dineout Passport Voucher for Membership on Super Premium Cards

Complimentary Dineout Passport membership is offered directly to the cardmembers holding the following HDFC Bank Credit Cards:

  • HDFC Bank Infinia Credit Card
  • HDFC Bank Diners Club Black Credit Card
  • HDFC Bank Intermiles Diners Club Credit Card
  • HDFC Bank Corporate Premium Credit Card
  • HDFC Bank SAP Concur Black Corporate Credit Card

These members can activate their Dineout Passport Membership directly from the benefits page in the Dineout App. I had recently authorised my HDFC Bank Credit Card with Dineout, and I activated the membership today. The benefit of taking this membership is that Dineout is offering an all-India plan rather than a citywide plan of Dineout.

Additional Discount for using Dineout Pay

Dineout Pay is a payment method by which you can pay at restaurants via the Dineout app if the restaurant accepts Dineout Pay. In this case, you pay via the app after selecting the restaurant and putting in the invoice number. You get a discounted amount to pay via your credit card. For Infinia and DCB, this discount is 15%.  Here is the chart of discounts by card (this card is the one you have saved in the Dineout app).

On a recent lunch trip with Shipra, we grabbed lunch at one of our favourite Delis in Mumbai and got a straight 15% discount for paying with the app.

Not just that, because my Intermiles account was linked with my Dineout app, I also received InterMiles for this transaction.

  1. I see diners intermiles cc in super-premium category, is it comparable with dcb in terms of rewards too? Can you do a fresh review of the card?

  2. Definitely a great offer. With current dineout GIRF campaign, you get 50% + 10% discount via promo cash and additional 15% via hdfc.

Been taking advantage of 15% additional on hdfc since 2 months and would have saved a bundle.

P.S- those who were asking between eazydiner and dineout, guess depends a lot on cities. I think eazydiner is decent for high end restaurants mainly else dineout anyday in terms of reach or discount.

  3. Hi Ajay, big thanks for this writeup!!…this dining offer reminded me of the DCB dine-in offer on weekends. Can you tell us if the weekend offer of 2X points (weekend dining) on DCB are applicable when paying through Dineout app? Will we get those points too? Or is it only applicable if one is paying directly through card? Anyone else wanting to help too regarding this query are welcome 🙂 thanks and cheers!!!

      • Wow, this truly is a gem of an offer then….Thanks for such a quick reply….Looking forward to more Youtube vids too from you 🙂 Cheers!!

  4. I did activate it in early January before my Goa trip. Lots of restaurants were showing in the app. But NONE of them are ACTUALLY accepting payments through Dineout.
My residence city is not listed.

  5. How does this compare to EazyDiner from Amex? I have both Plat Charge and Infinia. Would be keen to explore which has more overall value.

    • I have both EazyDiner prime and Dineout passport and have used both at various occasions . Dineout currently has GIRF festival where it is offering Flat 50% off on the bill on various restaurants . On top of it allows to apply 15% discount from HDFC and promocash if any if paying through dineout . Overall it works to ~65% discount on the total bill during this offer period .

During other circumstances as well , there could be some restaurants which are on Passport and not on EazyDiner prime . And paying through Dineout pay is generally rewarding .

Since you hold Infinia and its free , better to keep both and compare before making a reservation !

  6. Thanks for sharing the detailed info brother. I’ll activate mine later in the year after getting the vaccine 🙂
