While the best use of HDFC Bank points earned on Diners Club Black and Infinia continues to be on travel @ INR 1 per point value, unless you transfer it to Vistara or Singapore Airlines, many choose to spend them for other stuff. They hence may find their points being valuable elsewhere.
One of the other uses HDFC Bank provides for these points is to redeem them at INR 0.5 per point for vouchers of your choice. However, as you can think, the value gained is vastly less than the travel option. There is a better option being provided on a promotional basis to Infinia and Diners Club Black Cardmembers only.
For once, you are going to be able to redeem your reward points on the SmartBuy Rewards Catalogue for vouchers/products at INR 0.7 value per point reward point, as long as you are redeeming Infinia and Diners Club Black Credit Card. The offer is valid only from September 23 to September 25, 2022.
When you log into your Infinia or Diners Club Black Rewards portal via SmartBuy, you should be able to see the new value reflected for voucher redemptions.
This promotional value is not applicable for Tanishq and Apple products.

This offer is not good for infinia cardholders as Tanishq vouchers are available at Rs1/point. Also one can get instant resale value of Tanishq vouchers (around 80%) on many websites). So I wonot go for it.
For 1 lac amazon voucher, if used for flight ticket booking, one has to consume 142857 points with current 0.7 value/point. If smartbuy portal is used for flight booking for 1 lac, 70000 points are used and one gets 5000 points (5x) on balance 30000/- to be mandatorily paid by Infinia. Thus one gets value of 75000/- in using points +card on one lac spend. Whereas by amazon voucher, one has to pay (or loose) extra 42000 cash/points. Thus IMO the redemption for flight booking gives best value .
