HDFC Bank has launched a new Online Spend offer which is offering discounts and bonus points for Credit Card, Debit Card and PayZapp users.
The new HDFC Bank Credit Card online spend offer, launched on May 21 encourages people to spend online and is offering 50% additional Reward Points for each online transaction higher than Rs.1,000 with HDFC Bank Credit Cards (for up to 10 purchases) through June 30, 2020. You get a maximum of 200 points through the offer and does not apply on EMI transactions.
Corporate Cards, Commercial Cards, Dealer Cards, Distributor Cards, Business Cards, Value Plus Cards, Millenia, Easy EMI, Freedom, Staff, IndianOil and JetPrivilege co-branded Credit Cards are excluded from the promotion.
The offer looks pretty weak, and one would do alright even without it. Let’s do the maths for a premium credit cardholder. For instance, a spend of INR 1050 on an Infinia card online would bring me 35 points, and now it would bring me 52 points. Even with the 10X offer, one would get 362 points instead of the 350 points earlier.
What are your thoughts on the promotion?

I have been trying to change my HDFC Jet co-brand Diners to a simple Diners Black but havent been successful. Ive been told to canel the existing card and with due process apply for a new Diners Black card citing that they cannot downgrade a card meaning the Co-brand card is higher than the Black one.
Didnt understand the logic. Anyone else having the same issue?
@ajay
Really bad promotion, its incredibly weak and on top of that there is a hard limit of 200 points or 10 transactions whichever is first. Also, HDFC has not updated the Diner’s 10X list, which am afraid may have been phased out. Well fingers crossed.
I have no credit card .I have debit card. Cant u convert it in credit card
It’s only 200 extra reward points during the entire offer period
