Air India currently has a fleet of 124 aircraft excluding subsidiaries. The fleet comprises of 22 Airbus A319, 34 Airbus A320/A320neo, 20 Airbus A321, 4 Boeing B747, 18 Boeing B777 and 27 Boeing B787-8. Their Boeing B777s and B787s are heavily underutilised so is their narrowbody fleet. Air India only requires 11/16 Boeing B777 aircraft and 22/27 Boeing B787 aircraft they have in their fleet.
