American Express is out there making sure that American Express should be definitely a part of their portfolio of spending at the moment. There are already two great offers going on with American Express right now, one for Centurion and Platinum Cardmembers where they are being offered up to INR 25,000 cashback on everyday spends. The second promotion is to support small businesses, where Amex is offering you a 20% cash back on purchases from small merchants.

Now, with the onset of the Festive season, American Express is out there with a new promotion that has been launched today, offering a 5% gift card for select credit cardmembers. Under this promotion, which requires pre-registration with a customized email in your account, you get Amazon/Flipkart/Luxe vouchers depending on completing a minimum spend between October 15 and November 15, 2020.

Here are the cards eligible to receive this promotion:

• American Express Gold Card (6,000 bonus MR + 1,000 MR every month)

Here are the various variants of the promotion on offer to cardmembers, over and above the Membership Rewards points they will earn on these transactions:

1. Spend a total of INR 3,75,000 or more in eligible spends to receive Luxe Gift Cards worth INR 20,000. (5.33% RoI)
2. Spend a total of INR 2,00,000 or more in eligible spends to receive Amazon Gift Card worth INR 10,000. (5% RoI)
3. Spend a total of INR 1,00,000 or more in eligible spends to receive Amazon Gift Card worth INR 5,000. (5% RoI)
4. Spend a total of INR 40,000 or more in eligible spends to receive Amazon Gift Card worth INR 2,000. (5% RoI)
5. Spend a total of INR 15,000 or more in eligible spends to receive Flipkart Gift Card worth INR 750. (5% RoI)
6. Spend a total of INR 5,000 or more in eligible spends to receive Flipkart Gift Card worth INR 250. If the spend is over INR 15,000, offer 5 will apply) (5% RoI)

 

The promotion is valid for spends on primary as well as secondary cards on all of these credit cards after registration. Fulfilment will be done by February 15, 2021.

American Express does target promotions around the year for various members anyways to reward them extra for their spends, and this one coming around during the festive time is even more reason to cheer, as you can combine this with the Shop Small campaign and get even more returns for your spend.
