  1. NEW UPDATE ON THIS:
Amex has received an internal email today at 5:39pm saying that all GYFTR purchases will be included in the promotion.

I was told that many people had raised the query, and originally this was not to be included, but seems many people had already made the purchase, so Amex backtracked and included the same.

Points will be credited in 120 days. Purchases made directly with Brands will be credited in 5 days.

Make full use of this promo this time. Dont think this will happen again next time, and AMex will probably specify it clearly to avoid confusion.

    • Hi Ankur,
Today afternoon, I called Amex customer care and I was initially told that Gyftr vouchers are not covered. I even spoke to a Floor Manager (Rohit). He also retierated the same thing that Gyftr vouchers are not covered.
I then gave him references of Livefromalounge.com and Cardexpert.in and told him a lot of people believe it is covered and are going ahead with the Amazon GV purchases through Gyftr. He then said, he will have the Amex Team reach out to people on these blogs and clarify that Gyftr vouchers are not covered.

Now, I see the above comment from you about the new update as of 5:39 PM mentioning Gyftr vouchers are covered.

Well, this offer is nothing less than a big roller coaster ride for cardholders. I feel that they also must have realised that a lot of people have bought vouchers assuming they are covered and hence they must have changed their mind. I hope between today and tomorrow there is some official communication from their side clarifying their position. I did not expect such a big goof up by Amex.

I also gave them feedback that going forward they should explicitly mention in every reward multiplier offer whether Gyftr vouchers are covered or not. He said they will make sure they do that.

      • Yes, but I am sure by now the email sent to all Amex employees has clarified this issue. I am assuming that from now onwards, people calling CC will get the same affirmative response. I am not going to wait for official email from Amex coz I am sure by then Amazon vouchers would have been raided by everyone and might show not available to those late to the party. (I have been through a similar situation when HDFC launched 10X rewards with Gyftr initially).
I already have a confirmation from CC on a recorded line which is more than enough in case a dispute arises in the future.

        • It’s now clearly mentioned in AMEX landing page that all purchases in reward multiplier will get 20 points/Rs 100.
I’ve exhausted my very low MRCC limit. If I clear the balance and make fresh purchases, will I get points?

      • I have double checked by asking the customer care folks to check with marketing team and e-vouchers are eligible. I also made sure they made a note of this on my account.

  2. If I have already spent last week to get my regular 25000 points limit, will I get this additional 25000 points limit for the current 2 days offer?

  3. I am not sure if its me, but I don’t seem to find anyplace on whole amex website where this is listed. I am only seeing regular 10x, 5x,3X (Plat reserve, which is what I intend to use) offer. can someone share the link for specific amazon prime day 26/27th related offer?

  4. Hello Ajay,
The blog title says earn 60 points for every Rs. 100 spent, but you have not explained how to earn that. I have a MRCC Card. Request you to please explain how can I earn 60 points for every Rs 100 spent

      • Hello Ajay,
Thanks for the clarification. Does the 20 points/ Rs. 100 spent apply to Gyftr gift vouchers bought from reward multiplier platform. For example, if I buy Amazon Gift Vouchers today or tomorrow from Gyftr through reward multiplier platform, do I get 20 points/ Rs. 100 spent?

        • Hi Ajay,
I’ve same doubt. It’s not clear from the mail.
If I purchase GVs during these 2 days using MRCC what will I get?
          20 points/ Rs. 100
          4 points/ Rs. 100
          2 points/ Rs. 100 (since it’s mentioned 2x will not work these 2 days).
