One of the consequences of finally having privatised and the new management settled in is that Air India is finally focussing on what must be a big nagging issue for its customers. Refunds.
Air India launches a special drive to process refunds
I’ve heard from many people over time about how Air India has gone incommunicado on the refunds of their tickets which might have been cancelled sue moto due to the pandemic. People have been waiting for over two years, in some cases, for the refund of their tickets. Under the new management, Air India has finally started to work on fixing this situation.
Air India has now asked everyone who has a pending refund and has booked a ticket directly with the airline to reach out to them again via a Google Form. Not much more is known about the way forward, but Air India has requested everyone to fill up the details in this form. The form asks for various details, such as the PNR, Ticket Number, and the channel where the ticket was booked from. Tickets booked via the travel agents or online are not being entertained here.
If you have a pending refund with Air India, you should go ahead and fill up the form to put it on top of their pile for a refund. There is no end date to this drive known at the moment, but fill up the details at the earliest to get your refund, hopefully soon.
Do you have a refund pending with Air India? Put it out here to reach them again.
