Watch: Air India Boeing 747 performs a rare passenger flight

The Air India Boeing 747 aircraft has been the subject of much consideration on our website over the past few days. Earlier this week, I put out an article about the impeding retirement of the 747 from the Air India fleet, to which Air India issued a denial. The flight of the Boeing 747 in the Air India fleet has become pretty rare, and so has the opportunity to fly these as a passenger.

Word got around a flight being organised on March 10, 2021, by Air India to fly back the Jumbo Jet from Delhi to Mumbai. Seeing this as perhaps my last opportunity to fly the Queen of the Skies on Air India, I made a dash to Delhi on a 14-hour long trip to fly back on the Maharajah. While I will write about it another day, I put together a video of the experience flying in the hump of the Jumbo onboard Air India’s Boeing 747. Have a look.

I hope you enjoy this tribute to the Queen. While you are at it, do make it a point to subscribe to our channel. Over the past weeks, there are videos about Credit Cards, Hotels and Airlines out there, and more on the way.
