Uber is getting up and ready around India and has launched their services in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Delhi in 2013. Mumbai will be their next destination. Uber, being an on-demand car service, does not require prior reservation. You just flip your smartphone out of the pocket, and order an Uber Black car. The app tells you the expected waiting time, which is usually 5-10 minutes, and then you have a high-end car, typically a Mercedes, BMW, Toyota, Honda or Volvo sedan picking you up. You don’t really need to pay the driver in cash, because your credit card is automatically billed for your trip. If you want to add a tip, you can just log into your Uber Account to…

Uber launches in Hyderabad, get 2 free rides!
Uber has been finding its way around India pretty quickly. In September, Uber launched in Bangalore, its first Indian city. In October, they launched in Delhi, and now they’ve launched in Hyderabad. To me, pricing comes across as very reasonable across these cities. Take a look: Bangalore New Delhi Hyderabad Hyderabad is at a SecretUber stage at this moment, which means a few limos on the road and Uber is ironing out the issues. I’ve worked with Uber in the past to be able to offer you all two free rides this year on Uber in India. You could still try out this promocode BOARDINGAREA till December 31, 2013 on a new account and you can get…
Get 2 Uber rides free in India
Like I’ve mentioned in the past, Uber launched in India in the city of Bangalore in September 2013 and has started testing services in Delhi/Gurgaon in October 2013. New cities they will be offering services in the coming months will be Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai, since these cities show up on their website in hiring mode as of now. I had a good experience with Uber a couple of weeks back when I tried out their services in Delhi, when I could get myself a Toyota Camry for the drive from the Delhi Airport to my home. And then, the next day, I had a great trip back to the airport when a BMW 5 series turned up to drive…
My Uber experience in Delhi, and get yourself a free ride!
Last week, I decided to pop into Delhi for a little surprise for my mom, to visit her on her birthday and hopefully take her out for dinner. However, life had other plans, and my flight got delayed getting into Delhi by over 45 minutes and my cab came and went away. I thought this wasn’t a good sign, but it really was a good sign to start trying out Uber, which has launched in Delhi in test mode about 3-4 weeks back. As soon as the plane touched the gate, and it was time to get out and get rolling. I brought up the Uber app on my iPhone, and while in my conversations with people I was being…
Uber launches in Bangalore, try it out with Uber Credits
Uber, the SF-based super-premium car aggregator, recently launched in India, with their first Indian outpost being Bangalore. They’ve been testing their service since the past month or so, and now rolled out in the city. At the heart of the Uber experience is your smartphone, which you can flick out, and order for a car in the neighborhood using the Uber app (available for iPhones and Android), and the car will turn up at your door within a few minutes. In Bangalore, they’ve started with the Original Uber, which means a Mercedes E220 or an Audi A6 or another similar car. The pricing during the test phase was a base fare of Rs. 150 and Rs. 20 per kilometer, which…
