It seems like QR codes and deal-of-the-day works really well for SpiceJet. They have held two fare-sales this year already, and the second one was as recent as July. They are back this morning with another round of promotions, where they publish a discount code on their website every day, valid for making reservations on the website till 12 Midnight IST on the same day. The rules remain the same as the previous promotion and I would direct you to the earlier post for the directions to use the promotion. These discounts are valid for domestic as well as international reservations. As of this moment, there is no end date to this promotion but they usually last a week. If…

SpiceJet offering discounts on online bookings
SpiceJet seems to be making a habit of offering discounts on their website SpiceJet.com. In March 2012, they were offering deal-of-the-day discounts on their website, publishing a new QR code on the site everyday for a different discount code. They further tried another way of discounting by asking for your handphone number in April 2012. However, the deal-a-day code is back now for an undisclosed time period on the SpiceJet website again. On 10th July 2012 they launched the Monsoon Hungama promotion. Discounts offered are per person/per way basis, so you get a fixed amount off on every sector you are booking for each passenger. What’s more, the discount is valid on the SpiceJet international network as well, including the…
Sunday Plastic: SpiceJet SBI Titanium Credit Card
Quite a few exciting credit cards are coming out for the travel-oriented and I am having quite a bit of a job on hand to keep up to speed. Spicejet, India’s second biggest low-cost airline after Indigo, has had a tie-up for a credit card with SBI for a while. About 10 days back they re-launched the card with a suite of benefits that make it look exciting now, and I am considering applying for one now. While I have reviewed the Amex Gold Charge Card and Citibank Premier Miles Credit Card in the past, this is the first time I am reviewing an airline co-branded credit card, perhaps the only Indian airline co-branded card on the market right now…
Spicejet inaugural fares from Delhi and Mumbai to Dubai for Rs. 7777 + taxes
Spicejet seems to be obsessed with the number 7 these days. They recently offered a fare sale of Rs. 777 + taxes on domestic segments. Now, Spicejet is launching its flights to Dubai on 25th June 2012 from Mumbai and Delhi and is offering introductory fares on spicejet.com of Rs. 7777/- + taxes from either cities to Dubai. To celebrate this launch, SpiceJet is offering introductory airfares starting from just Rs.4477 (plus government taxes) one way, on the 2 routes connecting Dubai with Delhi and Mumbai, which will be a limited seat offer on online bookings. SpiceJet will fly Boeing 737-800s on these sectors. I would have loved to be on the inaugural flight, I’ve never been on a flight…
If you can’t book Spicejet, don’t lose heart just yet. 7th Anniversary offer to be extended
If you woke up early morning in India like me to take benefit of the SpiceJet 777 fare sale like I did, and are only getting an overloaded server to boot, don’t lose heart. Enough people have cussed them at 0700 IST for them to be able to make up their mind to extend this offer. I’ve been trying to book tickets for a while but can’t get through their first page. Here is the official line on the SpiceJet Facebook page, just in: All the best with making Rs. 777 bookings. More later when I find some information. UPDATE: Spicejet went ahead and extended the promotion for another 90 minutes till 10 AM IST. They claim to have sold…

New discounts with Spicejet for booking and travel till April 16
Recently, I wrote about a deal-of-the-day promotion which was being put out by Indian domestic low-cost carrier Spicejet. The promotion got over recently, and to replace it, Spicejet brought out a new promotion called My Number My Discount, where your cellphone number gets you discounts on your tickets booked on the carrier. Here is how it works: Select the cities you want to fly between, select your flight, and confirm your travel details. On the Contact page, fill in all the relevant personal details including your 10 digit mobile number. If your flight selection matches the list of flights on which this offer is valid, you will be eligible for the daily discount. The discount will be revealed only on…
How to get a daily discounts on Spicejet!
Spicejet has quietly introduced a new promotional offer on its website a few weeks back using Quick Response codes. Under this promotion, SpiceJet reveals a new QR code on their website every morning, and also sends it around on their Twitter account @FlySpiceJet and their Facebook page. You have to use your smartphones to be able to read these QR codes and get the eventual discount code in the format SGDISxxx. If you don’t have a smartphone, you could use a website like www.onlinebarcodereader.com to access the contents of the code. Once you have the code, you can apply these to any fresh reservations you make till 11 PM on the same night. You need to plonk the code in the…
