The Grand Hyatt Goa is a 5 year old resort located in North Goa. This Category 3 hotel could be one of your best redemptions ever, or a great use of a DSU as well. Check out our experience during our recent stay, where we lucked out by getting a double upgrade to the Executive Suite of the hotel.

Review: Vivanta by Taj – Holiday Village, Goa
A couple of months back, I found myself on the plane to have a working weekend in Goa, and the destination turned out to be the Vivanta by Taj Holiday Village, which is one of the three Taj Hotel properties in Goa, and perhaps one of the best ones out there. My flight into Goa was a little late, which meant I was going to be using the shuttle service from the hotel rather than car that we had on disposal. The hotel is a good one hour ride away from Goa’s airport, in the north end of Goa, so I was looking forward to getting moving quickly and join the rest of my colleagues who were already at the…
Review: Doubletree by Hilton, Goa (Arpora)
For the recently gone Independence Day long weekend, I decided that it would be a nice idea to go back to Goa during the rains. Usually, my preference is to go to South Goa and the Park Hyatt is one of my favourite resorts there. However, this time the brother and I decided to head to North Goa, since I found out that the Hilton now had a property there. This Hilton was actually an independent property, which was reflagged as the Doubletree only in 2012. Too bad, my brother could not make it at the last minute due to other commitments, however I decided to proceed with the trip regardless. After arriving on an uneventful flight from Mumbai, I…

We’re giving away a stay at the Park Hyatt Goa Resort & Spa
Two good things happened over the last few weeks. One, we completed a year of bringing Live From A Lounge in July, and two, I had a fabulous weekend, unwinding by the poolside with friends at the Park Hyatt Goa Resort & Spa. You can read all about my experience at the Park Hyatt Goa here. A gorgeous pool and the view from the pool at the Park Hyatt Goa. What are we giving away? Now, while I’d pay any day to come back to this resort for a stay, the Park Hyatt Goa has generously invited for one reader of the blog to come over and stay at the hotel in a Park Room to experience their hospitality.…
Go Goaah: Alila Diwa, Goa
Park Hyatt Goa Resort & Spa Alila Diwa After a very relaxed few days at the Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa, I was going to switch to the Hotel Alila Diwa where a friend of mine was hosting his wedding proceedings for the next couple of days. Since both the hotels are about 10 minutes apart, we used one of the complimentary shuttle cars offered to us by the Park Hyatt to drive down to the Alila Diwa. The Alila Diwa is a large hotel, built on a 12-acre big piece of land next to a paddy field. The hotel received the ‘Top 25 Relaxation/Spa hotels in India 2012’ commendation from TripAdvisor, which it proudly displays on its website and…
Go Goaah: Park Hyatt Goa Resort & Spa
Park Hyatt Goa Resort & Spa Alila Diwa, Goa June – September is the time of the year when I am inclined to take a vacation with friends in Goa. The peak Goa season is over in March (starts from October when all the tourists arrive!). The idea is to spend time with close friends and shut down my mental machinery for a few days, also the Goa weather in June-August is marvellous, with the rains. This time around, the destination was going to be the Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa, partly thanks to my Hyatt Diamond status last year. We were a bunch of six-eight friends who were going to be going over, so I booked three standard…
