Akasa, the newest airline expected to launch in India, will delay its launch by a few weeks, into July 2022 on the back of delays in receiving its first aircraft.
In a horrible incident today, a China-Eastern operated Boeing 737 aircraft crashed with 132 people on board. The aircraft looks like it was in a deep vertical dive.
It turns out that SpiceJet will not be inducting 11 737 MAX aircraft which have already been manufactured by Boeing, and these aircraft are now heading to Southwest instead!

Akasa, the new airline founded by ex-Jet Airways CEO Vinay Dube has placed a firm order for 72 737 MAX aircraft here at the Dubai Airshow. The airline has split it between the regular and high-density variant of the MAX.
