Spicejet sale: Rs. 2013 a.i. for travel anywhere in India

I love SpiceJet sales because they end up making me book tickets when I have no plans to go anywhere. To beat the lean season of travel (February – April 2013), they just unleashed a new promotion this morning which is valid for tickets booked on January 11 – January 13 2013, for travel between February 1 to April 30, 2013.

Remember, SpiceJet refunds into a credit shell, and you would have to call SpiceJet to get them to refund the amount on your account from which the ticket was booked.

Predictably SpiceJet servers are again down this afternoon! Winking smile

  1. I managed to book a Kolkata Mumbai ticket for my inlaws at the Spice website. Many thanks for the tip, I read about this promotion on your website, almost one day before the rest of the country did via Times of India :).

  2. I personally managed to book quite a few tickets from online travel agencies and only one directly from the SG website.

  3. If you are flexible then another way to check on which dates are the INR 2013 fare available. Is through the monthly view on http://www.makemytrip.com

Going forward each day on the spicejet website to check on which dates these fares are available esp. when its just about working is very cumbersome.

  4. You can book these fares on the premiermiles website. A couple of rupees more but you will be able to get a ticket and more miles aswell.

Spicejet website is constantly busy. Not worth wasting time on it.

I downloaded the cleartrip app on my android and used discount code CTPLAY on the paymeny page. It knocked off another INR 300. I got a Bom-Atq ticket for Rs. 1713 : )

    • @flyingsikh trouble is the portal are not being able to fetch inventory from spicejet due to a busy server. So they don’t always show inventory

    • @Sam to the best of my knowledge only 40-50% of tickets with the promo booked so far. However individual flights may have no tickets remaining since all promo tickets on the flight may have been booked out

  5. @Raj Book tickets with a base fare of Rs. 1. Those are the tickets going for 2013/-. If you don’t see that pricing, the discounted tickets are sold for that flight already. You don’t expect them to fill up the entire plane for 2013/seat, do you?

  6. I was booking a BOM-DEL ticket for Feb, but did not get these prices. In addition, their online booking has misleading prices – a Rs. 820 ticket becomes $5600 after all taxes!

  7. Yeah damn busy the site is….damn it…BTW…which of the available cities would be a good bet for a weekend trip??

  8. @AJ since the pricing is available to OTA, which website is best in terms of rescheduling/cancellation between Cleartrip/Yatra/MMT ?

Also what card should one put the charge on? Citi PM/Amex Jet/HDFC/ICIC Jet?

@Rik BTW I did book 1 ticket under this offer already and hence can assure its not a hoax.

  9. No one’s been able to book these tickets supposedly due to high demand and Indian online travel agents don’t allow new domestics bookings over the phone. The whole thing sounds like a hoax to me!

    • @Gaurav, the reduced pricing is not available via the Call center, so if you wanted to book with the voucher and get the reduced pricing, I don’t think it will stack up.
