Singapore Airlines is about to significantly upgrade its lounges at Changi Airport Terminal 2, with a 45 million Singapore dollar refresh planned over the next few years. Starting April 15, 2025, the airline began renovating its SilverKris and KrisFlyer Gold lounges to create a more spacious, comfortable, and premium ground experience for its passengers.
The work will be done in phases and is expected to wrap up around mid-2027. Once done, all three lounges will offer 50% more space, better food and drinks, and design elements borrowed from the revamped Terminal 3 lounges.
First Class SilverKris Lounge: More Space, More Style
Flying First? Significant changes are on the way. The First Class SilverKris Lounge will be fully refreshed with higher ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and more stretching room. Expect an upgrade to the bar experience with barista-made coffee in the morning and elevated drinks later in the day.
There will also be live cooking stations serving hot dishes from Singaporean, Asian, and Western cuisines, alongside an enormous self-serve buffet that mirrors what you’d find in the Terminal 3 First Class lounge.

Business Class SilverKris Lounge: Bigger and Better
The Business Class Lounge will grow by about 30%, giving travellers more breathing room. It’ll have a dedicated rest area with recliners, and a brand-new layout with wingback chairs, sofas, and work pods, so you can relax, catch up on work, or grab a bite before your flight.
The dining options are also getting a boost — a more extensive buffet and a new full-service bar will be added. You can grab a barista coffee in the morning or sip on signature cocktails in the evening.

KrisFlyer Gold Lounge: Long Overdue Upgrades
For KrisFlyer Elite Gold and Star Alliance Gold members flying Economy or Premium Economy, the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge is finally getting the love it deserves. It’s set to double in size and offer a mix of comfy seating — think armchairs, dining tables, and workspaces.
But the best news? The revamped lounge will have restrooms and shower suites — something that’s been sorely missing and will make a huge difference for those long layovers.

Mr. Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience, Singapore Airlines, said,
This significant investment underscores Singapore Airlines’ unwavering commitment to elevating the end-to-end travel experience for our customers. Building on the success of our Terminal 3 lounges, we are extending our signature hospitality and thoughtfully curated offerings to Terminal 2. This upgrade reaffirms our continued dedication to providing a seamless, world-class experience that meets the high expectations of our discerning customers.
When’s It All Happening?
To keep things running smoothly during the renovations, SIA will phase the upgrades over time:
- April 15, 2025: First Class SilverKris Lounge work begins, with completion expected by Q4 2025.
- Q4 2025: Business Class Lounge renovation kicks off.
- First half of 2026: KrisFlyer Gold Lounge gets its upgrade started.
This revamp is part of Singapore Airlines’ ongoing mission to raise the bar for premium travel, both in the air and on the ground. If you’ve used the Terminal 3 lounges recently, you know how good they can be. Now, Terminal 2 is getting the same luxe treatment.
Bottomline
Singapore Airlines is investing in upgrading its lounges at Changi Airport Terminal 2, as the lounges will be progressively renovated and expanded through mid-2027. The updates will be similar to the Terminal 3 lounges, which have also been updated in recent years.
