Run 10K on the Bangalore Runway!

The new Bangalore Airport is completing their 10th anniversary this year, and to celebrate the occasion, they are lining up a slew of events for this year. Coming up is the first one, which is perhaps going to be interesting for #avgeeks like us. Run on the Bangalore Runway on May 8, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Bangalore airport.

100 participants will get to run on the Bangalore Airport’s Runway. You need to be 18 or above to be able to register for the run.

Joint Base Charleston hosts local community 5k

Runway races are not new, but new to India for sure. They have been organized over the years at many airports around the world, including New York JFK, London Heathrow and other runways around the world. Now, they come to India, the first time in Bangalore.

The Runway Race is open for registration now, and here is the link to register for the race. Registrations for the race are open through April 30, 2018. Once you register, you should hear back from Bangalore Airport if you qualify.

  • Date: May 8, 2018
  • On-site Registration: 10 AM
  • Race Starts: 12:45 PM
  • Race Ends: 2:15 PM

This should be interesting for everyone involved. I am sure trying to register myself if the dates work out. Maybe you should too.
