PointBreaks: Over 100 IHG hotels available for 5,000 points only

Every quarter IHG Rewards Club releases hotels under the PointBreaks promotion. These are a select number of hotels which can be booked for just 5,000 IHG points per night for the duration of the promotional period. There can be some great deals around here, given you can land a 20,000 points redemption hotel for just 5,000 points sometimes.

The full list of hotels for the fourth, winter period PointsBreaks promotion this year has now been released. These hotels will be available for bookings beginning Monday, October 30 for stays until  January 31, 2018. There are just about a hundred hotels participating in this round of PointBreaks with 3 hotels in India.

The Holiday Inn Cochin is currently priced at INR 6,000 plus taxes and a reward night here costs 15,000 points. So not a bad idea to book if you have Kerala travel plans in the winters.

This time again we mostly see brands like the Holiday Inn and the Crowne Plaza feature under the PointBreaks promotion with no InterContinental hotels, unlike the last 2 promotions.  At least, there are hotels across all continents (USA/Canada/Mexico, Europe, Asia/China, EMEA, South America, Oceania)

Do remember that each member may only book two PointBreaks Reward Nights reservations per hotel, though there is no limit to the number of times you can book via the PointBreaks offer. Also, bookings for the coming period will open on October 31, 2017, for stays through December 2017.

If you are running short of points IHG Rewards Club is currently offering a 100% bonus on points purchased through November 3, 2017.

Bottomline:

PointBreaks is one of the best promotions to make use of for reward stays. In the past, we have booked hotels under this offer and gotten some good value for 5,000 points per night. So definitely worth having a look at the participating hotels. Just remember to book fast as there is limited availability and the better hotels tend to go off the list quickly.

Is there any hotel that you find interesting in this round of PointBreaks?
