Novel CoronaVirus: SpiceJet cancels Hong Kong flight temporarily

With the Novel Corona Virus outbreak spreading out, there has been a lot of action that has been acting at the end of airlines towards containment. This being a virus strand that spreads through contact, Wuhan, where the Virus is believed to have originated is under quarantine now. Other cities in China are also under lockdown.

World governments and airlines are starting to take notice of this being a global crisis and taking action accordingly. From the Indian standpoint, Air India and IndiGo had already moved forward with cancelling flights. 

Air India has suspended the Delhi – Shanghai flight from through the end of winter schedule in March 2020 and waived cancellation charges for travel to/from Shanghai & Hong Kong till further notice.

Now, SpiceJet has decided to temporarily suspend its daily Delhi – Hong Kong flight from February 16 through February 29, 2020.

China clearly looks out of bounds for everyone for now. We will continue to track this situation and keep you updated.
