Marriott Bonvoy sent out “2021 Year in Review” emails earlier this year and hinted at an upcoming promotion in their email as well. They have now revealed the details of the first Marriott promotions for 2022: Every Night Counts Even More.
Marriott Promotions for 2022: Every Night Counts Even More
Marriott has released the details of the Every Night Counts Even More promotion, which is open for registration now.
The new promo will run from February 8 to May 4, 2022. Marriott Bonvoy members will be able to earn double Elite Night Credit and 1,000 bonus points per paid night stayed between the promotional period.
You need to register for the promotion before you start earning double elite nights and bonus points during the promotional period. Please do it now, so that you don’t forget when the day arrives.
Only paid nights are eligible for the bonus, and you need to stay between February 8 and May 4, 2022, to earn the bonus points and double elite nights. Award redemption nights, including Cash + Points, free night award certificates, or a points redemption, will not be eligible for additional earnings this promotion. You do not need to rebook your stay if already booked, but you should check if you have a better rate anyways.
Rates available through most third-party online retailers and select travel agency rates do not qualify for this promotion. Still, those booked through luxury travel advisors such as ClassicTravel do qualify. Our tie-up with ClassicTravel could also offer you other perks at Marriott hotels and sometimes bonus free night offers such as third/fourth/fifth night free.
As you can see, you can make up to 85 bonus elite nights and 85,000 points with this promotion. The best part about this promotion is that there is no minimum length of stay requirement, so you will get awarded for every night you stay, from the first night itself.
Bottomline
This is a strong promotion from Marriott, offering an elite night bonus on top of every paid night at a Marriott hotel anywhere around the globe. Make sure to new promo here before you forget.

“ Every Night Counts? “ except point redemption nights sadly. That’s why Hyatt is better. Yes?
Yep – I’m a lifetime titanium elite and not eligible.
This is great.. I’m attending my cousin’s wedding at Marriott Siliguri and asked them that if I had the contract in my name would i get the nights for all the rooms booked , Approx. 60 rooms. Their reply back was I would in effect get only 1 night for every 20 room nights. Which seemed pretty useless.. Any help on such fronts @ajay or suggestions.
After what they said I’ve asked them to make the bills in a company’s GST instead.
Note : Didnt book any rooms directly because of the preferential rates on events.
These promotions are meant for personal use in general. Only the room in which you will actually stay in will be counted towards elite room nights and spends on upto 3 other rooms can count towards your points. And almost always, MICE rates do not qualify.
@Rohan, @Saurav, Most probably he will get the points for one or two rooms. But not all for sure. as for GST, it only counts if it is in the same state (destination based tax etc)
Not sure what you mean. I think the same state thing is for deliveries. You can take ITC in any state hotel although it will be IGST. I get ITC for Mumbai stays in Delhi company just fine. Are you talking about something else?
Ah, went back and checked. Weird CA notes but doesn’t affect because we get refund as export business.
@Amex Guy, any Hotel will put SGST and CGST entry for taxes, as GST is a destination-based tax system. So if you have a tax number in the same state, you are able to take credit, otherwise, not. Surprised about the IGST. Can you send me a folio in the DMs?
Newbie Marriott user here. Need someone to help me get clarity. Can the free elite nights earned through this promo be used for any category of property and at any geography? For instance, say i book a 3 night stay at a category 1 property in India and use the free elite nights earned for a stay at a category 5/6 property in Singapore?
@Shiv, the elite nights are a number that will help you get to the next tier, not something you can redeem. For instance, you need 50 nights for Platinum. If you did 25 nights under this promotion at, lets say, Four Points Ahmedabad, you get 50 nights in your count and you get promoted to Platinum.
I get it. Thank you for clarifying.
I checked, I’m an Ambassador with Marriott and it says I’m not eligible for this promotion. Do you know what restrictions it has or if Marriott is having a different promotion for some? Ambassador has been so disappointing and the value drain on points is so severe, I was thinking I’d just drain my points and disregard status with hotels as I and so many others have with airlines. I read your article and thought maybe it’s not so bad and was going to pay cash for my upcoming stays with the promotion. I guess this confirms that disloyalty is likely the better pursuit.
Could you explain about the points drain.. for my knowledge and maybe similar readers.
I too have disregarded all airlines statuses because I rarely find the same airline in the time slot or destination I need to fly domestically.
He is saying he will use the points. Considering Marriott is going to use dynamic pricing for redemption from March 2022, your points will be mapped to the cash rate and will essentially become a cash back program.
Hi Ajay,
registered. thank you. Would this help if one takes up 16 nights platinum challenge and do 8 nights instead? Will the bonus elite nights count towards Platinum status?
Nope.
But it would count 32 nights for the same
If we consider last year, the bonus elite nights will be considered for status, however if you are already a plat, you can not take up plat challenge.
As usual, Marriott’s response for me: Not eligible.
Its ok. I prefer not to stay with Marriott, it happens in a crunch when other options aren’t available.
