Deal: AirAsia India offering complimentary “Red Carpet” service for direct bookings

AirAsia India has launched a new promotion, where it is offering free ‘Red Carpet’ Priority Services for bookings made on the AirAsia India website and the mobile apps.

What is Red Carpet?

AirAsia India offers a priority boarding and baggage handling service called Red Carpet. As a part of the Red Carpet offer, AirAsia India offers the following inclusions:

  • Dedicated check-in counter
  • Express boarding
  • Priority baggage at the carousel
The airline has launched a limited offer for bookings until February 28, 2022, for travel through September 30, 2022. On a regular basis, ‘Red Carpet’ services are retailed for INR 500 on other bookings channels like MakeMyTrip. Users can log in with their mobile number or email address and select “Red Carpet” services among the “Popular Add-ons” section while booking and get these services for free.
This looks like an excellent promotion for AirAsia to try and pull customers to book on their website rather than book via a third party. Airlines in India frequently run such offers to attract customers into booking directly.
Speaking about the offer, Dr Ankur Garg, Chief Commercial Officer, AirAsia India, said
Providing a superior product and service experience such as premium leather seats across all our aircraft, a diverse variety of fresh, healthy, oven-hot ‘Gourmair’ meals served 36,000 feet in the sky, has helped differentiate the AirAsia India brand and offering from an otherwise increasingly commoditized flying experience. Offering unique benefits, fab deals and fantastic value for guests booking on our website and mobile apps is a token of our appreciation to loyal customers who engage with us from their booking journey through their travel and helps us showcase the range of offerings that we provide to the discerning traveller.

Bottomline

AirAsia India offers a complimentary Red Carpet booking if you book directly, which gives access to priority check-in, boarding, and priority baggage handling. The promotion is being offered for direct bookings on AirAsia India’s website through February 28, 2022, for travel through September 30, 2022.

What do you think of the new promotion, and do you intend to book any sectors with them?
