Hello from the Vistara Lounge at Terminal 3, Delhi, where I am waiting to board one of Vistara’s two A320Neo planes to Mumbai. I took delivery of the first one along with the Vistara team, and from then, this is the first time I get the opportunity to fly the plane as a commercial passenger.

But this is about a bigger thing than that. Over the past 6 years, many a times I’ve wanted to add Hindi publishing to our blog. I’m a firm believer that our content is not elitist and more and more people can benefit from it if we could present it in more languages than just English. After all, the more aspirational travellers come along, the better it is for everyone.

The first time around many moons ago when we talked about it to BoardingArea tech team, they could not crack the tech behind it. And after that, I did not have the bandwidth to follow up for a long period of time. Fortunately now, it is easier to do Hindi publishing that it was when I first thought about this.

So, we’ve launched a small beta this morning on the Hindi publications on our own. Here is the first episode of a Trip Report that went up this morning on the website. I’ll also be putting out a Hindi Section shortly, where all the Hindi content could be easily found.

For the moment, our focus on the Hindi site would be more on trip reports to start, to ensure that content there does not age very quickly. So the Hindi news and views will follow shortly.  We’re still getting our hands firmed up for Hindi publication after all, and it is just the two of us. And we will be experimenting with the Hindi for a while before we can finalise our formats for Hindi. Remember, it is a public beta for now. We never had an Alpha release for this.

Of course, we’d look forward to ideas, inputs, feedback and comments on our new initiative, and also do hope you’d share it with folks around you who could benefit from it.
