Free LemonTree Hotels Platinum status

LemonTree Hotels is an Indian hotel chain which largely operates in the mid- and upscale hotels segment, along with an economy  brand called RedFox hotels. They have 27 hotels across 16 cities in India at the moment, and operate a loyalty program called Lemontree Smiles.

The program seems to have some real benefits on paid stays, such as room upgrades, early check-in/late check-out offered, free laundry and free wifi. You also earn points for your stay and can redeem them for free stays or shopping vouchers. There is a base tier (Silver), a Gold Tier achieved after 3 stays and a Platinum Tier achieved after 10 stays. INR 100 spend earns 10 points for Silver tier. Award stays start at 3000 points. Here is a chart stating all the benefits of the program.

Now, for Yes Bank’s YesFirst customers, LemonTree is offering a complimentary upgrade to the Platinum Tier of their program, straight away. Here is the link to sign-up.

Using the link above, you can sign up for the program and get platinum status. Here are the benefits of Platinum status:

  • Additional 10% off on Best Available Rate
  • 5% off at Spa available at participating hotels
  • 20% off at Citrus Café/Clever Fox Café (food and soft beverages)
  • Unlimited full day Happy Hours at participating hotels

It never hurts to keep status in your pocket even if you may never use it. While I disagree with the target group being offered this promotion (the cream of Yes Bank’s customers won’t want to stay at a non-luxury chain I’d believe), I signed up anyways to see how the chain and the brand experience is, just in case I find myself in their hotels sometime.

Do report back with your LemonTree Experiences. I’ve heard from my in-laws that it is a good hotel (in Goa), but I’d love to hear back from more readers about their experiences as well.

  1. Link is working but not in the intended way. There is no way to sign up. It just says “THANKS FOR SIGNING UP”.

    Please upload correct link.

  2. Thanks for this. It’s funny to see that these guys offer 20% bonus for platinum, which is not good at all. Most indian hotel chains simply don’t get the concept of an loyalty program (Taj, trident, etc)..i’m glad that I continue my loyalty with US hotel groups which have given me tons of free nights over the years.
