Karnataka removes RT-PCR Test requirement for fully-vaccinated arrivals from Kerala and Goa

With the Government of India significantly relaxing the requirements to present testing results for arrivals into India, it was no different for some of the remaining states to start changing their requirements. Karnataka has been the latest to change its terms.

Karnataka removes RT-PCR requirements for Kerala and Goa arrivals

Karnataka had singled out Kerala, Goa and Maharashtra arrivals via plane or land to present a T-72 hour RT-PCR negative report to be able to arrive in Karnataka. So, anyone who got on a plane from these states, in spite of being vaccinated, had to have an RT-PCR report. A few days ago, this requirement was waived for Maharashtra. Now, Kerala and Goa arrivals will also no longer need these.

In a notification issued by the Government of Karnata, it has been notified that fully-vaccinated travellers originating from Kerala and Goa will no longer be required to produce an RT-PCR negative report. The notification is enclosed below.

Bottomline

This is great news for those who frequent from Kerala and Goa into Karnataka. Fully vaccinated folks flying from Goa, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, etc. into Bengaluru, Mysore etc, will not need to be tested over and over before their flights.

What do you think of one of the last requirements standing being repealed?
