One of the travel metasearch engines in India, Ixigo, has been recently offering a very lucrative promotion where they have tied up with Jet Airways and offer varying amount of cashbacks on tickets booked with Jet Airways, when the original query has been sourced from their website. Till April 30, 2015, they are offering INR 1000 per domestic booking which is over the value of INR 2499 on Jet Airways.
How it works?
You simply use the Ixigo portal to search for flights you need to book. The ixigo portal points out the various opportunities where the cashback is valid. Once you click book, it leads you to the Jet Airways website and you can complete your ticketing there.
After you have completed the ticketing, you feed your details back to the Ixigo website, where they take about 10 days to verify with their internal records if the ticket was really sourced via their website or not. You need to make these claims within 7 days of making your booking otherwise you lose your spot in the queue. Once verified, the cashback goes into your online wallet, from where you can spend it or choose to withdraw it into your bank account.
While this has been an ongoing offer for the past 3-4 months, I’ve used this a few times and the earlier process was sometimes buggy since you needed to share your entire ticket with them, which was a privacy concern as well. However, I’ve saved tonnes of money by adding this additional step to my reservation process. Earlier in the year, they had an INR 2015 per ticket cashback, which was great to reduce the cost of some tickets I booked then.
Ixigo also offers INR 500 cashback for other airlines (Austrian, Emirates, Qatar, Etihad, GoAir) and hotel booking engines Agoda and Booking.com. Basically, they are taking their affiliate fee and feeding it back to you.
Have you used the ixigo cashback promotion? How often do you use it?

I’ve booked a Jet Airways ticket for Kolkata to Mumbai flight through IXIGO on 29.08.2015. Travel date was 12 .09.2015. PNR No. BQUFTS. It was under Rs 1000 cash back scheme. I’ve completed the procedure for cashback but still not received the money. What to do now? If this is how it works I’ll never use this site in future.
Hi Papiya,
With regards to your concern, we would like to inform you that for PNR BQUFTS the cashback was successfully credited to your citrus wallet on 10th Sep, 2015. Please refer the mail we had sent to you with subject “”Great News! Your Cashback has been Approved 🙂 (PNR: BQUFTS)”” for Sign up and accessing the citrus wallet. Please feel free to write us at cashback@ixigo.com in case of any further assistance required from our end.
Thank you for booking through us 🙂
Cheers!

That said you can get Rs. 750 (the current offer and not Rs. 1000) per PNR.
Is there any maximum number of tickets that one can book ? I bought 2 separate tickets on Jet through Ixigo and plan to buy another 1 tomorrow. Am I eligible to get Rs 1000 cash back per ticket??
@SuperFlyBoy – Please send me more details about your cashback claims on ceo@ixigo.com – will get them rechecked. Most people who booked in Feb have already got their cashbacks in April.
ixigio LTC is simply awesome. I got 2015 cash back on 12 flights for my entire family during a trip in February this year. Effectively paid ~500 INR for a one way BOM-DEL flight while earning ~1300 JP miles + 1 tier point as well.
Sometimes the mails from Ixigo go into the Spam box. I’ve received many of my confirmation mails asking for NEFT details in Spam. However, the cashback has been credited to my bank account every time I’ve used Ixigo (6/6). What’s best is that you can get a financial benefit as well as all other benefits of booking directly with Jet’s website (bonus JPMiles, co-brand card benefit, etc).
I have been a big beneficiary of Ixigo personally. I have till now got all my cashbacks into my bank account. I have got cashbacks for 14/14 flights. I really would recommend them if you want to save some real quick bucks. Of which 2 flights which I booked from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and return for Rs 2900 and I got Rs 2015 as cashback during that time for each of my flights. So effectively I paid only Approx Rs 900-Rs 1000 per flight in and out of Ahmedabad from Mumbai.
Ixigo sucks – I received only 1 out of my 20 cashbacks for LTC bookings in February 2015.
Sent it via direct EM – with confirmations received – they still never replied or credited my account.
Big fail by Ixigo.
Trying to get this resolved now on Twitter.
@superflyboy there was one more step to the process, which was to punch your bank account details with every trip when it reached approved status. Did you manage to do that?
