In the past few days, there have been a lot of new airline and route launches in international segments. Akasa recently launched international flights, with their first flight to Doha, and Vistara launched flights to Paris (from Mumbai). And now, IndiGo has launched new flights between Bengaluru and Bali on March 29, 2024.
IndiGo launches Bengaluru – Bali operations.
IndiGo announced the flight between Bengaluru and Bali in February 2024, and the first flight took off on March 29, 2024. After Jakarta, Bali is the second destination to join the 6E network. Denpasar is the 33rd international and 119th overall destination for IndiGo. The flight, which will now operate daily with an Airbus A320neo, will be the longest route in the IndiGo network, operated by Airbus A320neo family aircraft (2983 miles).
Here are the flight timings
6E1605 BLR0005 – 1020DPS
6E1606 DPS1120 – 1515BLR
This makes IndiGo the second carrier to head to Bali from India (after Vistara). As per initial reports, the airline will operate the route with a load penalty of six seats, which means, it will only sell 180 out of the 186 seats of the A320neo. This might change by the time winter arrives because a higher load penalty might not be of interest to IndiGo. As the route matures, IndiGo might upgrade the route to an A321neo.
Bottomline
After Vistara’s flights between Delhi and Bali, IndiGo has also launched flights between Bengaluru and Bali, making it the second Indian carrier to arrive in Bali. The route will be operated with an Airbus 320neo daily.
What do you think of the new operations from IndiGo, between Bengaluru and Bali?
