Earlier this week, the decision was made to ground all aircraft in India and close shop temporarily for all the domestic carriers in India. Then, it was decided that airlines across the country would park all their aircraft by March 24, 2020, 2359 hours, and not operate any flights till March 31, 2359 hours. All the planes are now parked across the country. Here is a picture of the Bengaluru Airport from late last night, circulating and sent to me by quite a few people who work there.
Now, with India lockdown for 21 days, with effect from March 25 to April 14, 2020, airlines across India have had to further cancel their schedules through April 14, 2020.
Airlines have already started to cancel flights and update their cancellation periods. This is the notice on the website of IndiGo after I saw one of my PNRs go cancelled in front of my eyes.
And here is the notice on the GoAir website.
While IndiGo’s website states only domestic flights are cancelled, even international flights are not being sold by IndiGo or Air India at this moment from April 14, 2020.
Bottomline
No flying for those in India till April 14, 2020. I guess the only people who will end up flying will be any foreign nationals who will be extracted out of India at the moment.

I have rescheduled my flight which was supposed to be originally on March 25th to April 18th now on Air Asia. To be fair, Air Asia actually got back to me for rescheduling and they managed to reschedule the flight for no additional cost.
Let us see now if the timeline gets extended or not.
If it gets extended, then even April 18th will not be possible.
