Lufthansa Miles & More has partnered up with Hilton Honors for a new promotion where you can earn an additional bonus of 2,500 Miles & More miles, when you stay at a hotel which is a part of the Hilton portfolio through October 2018.

The best part is, these miles are on top of the Hilton Honors points which you would anyways usually earn on stays. What makes this offer even more interesting that you can stack this promotion on top of ongoing Hilton Honors promotions like the double points promotion which lasts through August  September 9, 2018. You have to first pre-register on their website prior to completing your stay to be eligible for this promotion.

After you register, go to ‘preferences’ in your Hilton Honors account profile, and add your Lufthansa Miles & More account number. Then choose Lufthansa as your preferred partner. Then, ensure you select that Lufthansa is your preferred partner.

Note, each stay gets you the 2,500 bonus miles which means you can earn blocks of 2,500 Miles & More miles, every time you complete an eligible stay at participating hotels. There seems to be no limit on the number of stays that will get you these bonus miles.

Other key terms and conditions of this promotion are:

• Participants should be aged 18 and above and should be both a member of Miles & More and Hilton Honors
• Tour operator packages; contracted crew rates; travel agency discount rates; stays secured utilizing Hilton Grand Vacations Club, and Hilton Club timeshare programs are ineligible for this promotion
• Bonus Points do not count toward elite tier qualification
• It may take 6-8 weeks for the bonus miles to be credited to your account

Bottomline

Loyalty promotions which allow you to double dip i.e. earn points on two different programs are not very common. If you plan on staying at any one of the participating hotels which get you Hilton Honors points, it is an idea to use this promotion to rack up some Lufthansa Miles & More miles.
