New HDFC Infinia Benefits: Club Marriott Membership

Last month, HDFC Bank and Vistara’s long-standing partnership to offer Club Vistara Gold membership to HDFC Infinia cardholders was discontinued. This partnership was on offer since 2015 and was even better than Vistara’s own credit card co-brand partnership. To replace this partnership, there are new HDFC Infinia benefits have been added in the form of a dining partnership with Club Marriott.

Club Marriott is Marriott’s paid membership and an easy way to enjoy dining, spa and other privileges at over 300 participating Marriott hotels in the region, which was launched in 2017. The benefits include:

  • Benefits at Marriott Hotels in India
    • Up to 20% off on the food and beverage bill at the restaurants for up to a maximum of twenty (20) guests. Select hotels offer 15% off for up to a maximum of ten (10) guests.
    • Up to a 20% off on the Best Available Rate on the base category of rooms.
    • Five (5) certificates offering the Member a 30% off on accommodation on the Best Available Rate on the base category of rooms, valid for a stay of a maximum of two (2) consecutive nights.
  • Benefits at Marriott Hotels in the Asia Pacific
    • Up to a 20% off on the food and beverage bill at the restaurants for up to a maximum of ten (10) guests. Savings on premium wines and spirits at select hotels only.
    • Up to a 20% off on the Weekend Rates.

HDFC Infinia Benefits

HDFC Infinia Benefits: Club Marriott

Now, the new HDFC Infinia Benefits include a membership to Club Marriott, however, only for those members who have been issued an HDFC Infinia card (fresh issuance/upgrade) after March 20, 2019. For them, the benefits include:

  • Up to a 20% off on the food and beverage bill at the restaurants for up to a maximum of ten (10) guests. Select hotels offer a 15% off up to a maximum of ten (10) guests.
  • Up to a 20% off on the Best Available Rates on rooms at participating Marriott hotels in India and on Weekend Rates in the Asia Pacific.
  • Two certificates entitling the Member to an upgrade to the next category of rooms on Best Available Rate for a maximum of two (2) nights stay at participating hotels in India. The upgrade is subject to availability at the time of check-in.
  • Two certificates offering the Member a 30% off on accommodation on the Best Available Rate on the base category of rooms, valid for a stay of a maximum of two (2) consecutive nights per certificate. Reservations must be made in advance and are subject to room allocations.
  • Two certificates entitling the Member to a 20% off on select treatments at a participating Marriott Spa from Monday to Friday. This benefit is valid for one guest.

So, it is a slightly trimmed down version of the original programme, in terms of the number of certificates. The T&C governing the programme membership are here.

The cardholders will get an SMS or an Email to apply for the membership from HDFC Bank within 15 days of card setup. The cardholder will need to visit the partner webpage and give their details as required for membership issuance. An INR 1 transaction will have to be done by the cardholder on the webpage. The membership is only valid for the first year for free.

Bottomline

This is an excellent addition for HDFC Infinia card holders, since Marriott has some of the best kitchens in India right now, and is also the largest hotel chain of the country. So, you get a great benefit if you sign up for the HDFC Infinia card now.

Any reason you claim Indfinia Vistara partnership was better than Vistara Axis,?
Does Axis not renew the relevant membership tier of Club Vistara on payment of Annual fees?
