Great Summer Fares 2: Air India offering INR 35K+ fares to Italy

Yesterday, I wrote about the 30K fares to Paris on Jet Airways, which I think is a very good fare to inspire you to visit the City of Lights. There is also British Airways, which is doling out vouchers for you to apply for your visa and giving you a discount accordingly.

I wrote a few days back about Air India’s launching flights from Delhi to Milan and Rome. This will be a Boeing 787 flight, which will stop at both the cities, and do a circular route back home. While Air India has not started selling this flight on their own website, they seem to be offering great fares from anywhere in India to Milan/Rome, at a flat price of INR 36,000 which includes your connections to Delhi both ways as well. Of course, the ex-Delhi tickets are cheap too.

Here are a few of those fares, captured, for instance, from Mumbai and from Bangalore on random dates, using GoIbibo.com.

And since these tickets are on OTAs as well, you can use all sorts of promotions to get an even lower fare. You can also book these links to support us: GoIbibo, MakeMyTrip.com, Expedia and Yatra.com.

So, if you’re thinking of Italy as a destination this summer, maybe Air India’s new service could be your ticket to the country.

  1. Hi Ajay,

I was actually collecting miles on AirIndia for a trip to London.

I notice that it requires 50000 miles for both way.

But since I have reached only 22000 miles till now.. AirIndia does not shows how much money I would have to pay over and above the miles.

Can you please tell me more on the pricing of international flights on air India using miles.

    Thanks
    Ankit
