While the best use of HDFC Bank points earned on Diners Club Black and Infinia continues to be on travel @ INR 1 per point value, unless you transfer it to Vistara or Singapore Airlines, many are not in travel mode right now. They hence may find their points being valuable elsewhere.
One of the other uses HDFC Bank provides for these points is to redeem them at INR 0.5 per point for vouchers of your choice. However, as you can think, the value gained is vastly less than the travel option. There is a better option being provided on a promotional basis to Infinia and Diners Club Black Cardmembers only.
For once, you are going to be able to redeem your reward points on the SmartBuy Rewards Catalogue for vouchers/products at INR 0.7 value per point reward point, as long as you are redeeming Infinia and Diners Club Black Credit Card. The offer is valid only from December 18 to December 20, 2021.
When you log into your Infinia or Diners Club Black Rewards portal via SmartBuy, you should be able to see the new value reflected for voucher redemptions.
This promotional value is not applicable for Kalyan Jewellers, Tanishq, Joyalukkas and Apple products.
Bottomline
HDFC Bank offers a redemption value of INR 0.70 per point on the SmartBuy Vouchers and Premium Rewards for Infinia and Diners Club Black Cardmembers until December 20, 2021. This is a 40% value gain for those interested in redeeming their points for vouchers instead of travel.

10X is gone now from Diner Black so now only offer seems to be Smartbuy which has capping of 7500 points
makes sense to switch to Infinia now – a metal card and capping of 15000 points
it has capping of 7500 per month on DB
here the assumption seem o have not taken the capping
but one can book tkts in parts (monthly split) and should work out – at least on smaller amounts

Are you calculating earn rate of 33%? I reckon the DCB accelerated earn rate is there with a monthly cap.
Could you share the working?

Assume a ticket for 14280 instead and do the calculations…
I think this offer is equal if not better than flights/hotel redeeming.
142800 points worth 1L Amazon voucher.
If we book a flight ticket worth 142800 without points from the card, we will get 47600 points.
So in totality, I’ve got a 1Lac amazon voucher plus 47600 points if I ever book flights worth 142800. Of course, the double-spend and amazon voucher validity of 1 yr is a concern.
