Emirates will bring their Premium Economy to Mumbai and Bengaluru in October 2023

Emirates launched the Premium Economy cabin on their A380 aircraft in 2021. The last of their A380 aircraft all came fitted with a new cabin, and since then, the airline has been on a project to retrofit their existing aircraft as well.

Emirates announces Premium Economy to Bengaluru and Mumbai.

Emirates has announced that its Premium Economy offering will be available to customers flying to and from Mumbai and Bengaluru starting October 29, 2023. Emirates will operate its newly retrofitted flagship A380 aircraft to these two popular Indian points, featuring the new Premium Economy seats and refreshed interiors.

Travellers flying on the Dubai – Mumbai and vice versa route can book Emirates’ Premium Economy seats on EK500/501, while those flying between Dubai – Bengaluru can book their flights on EK568/569. Seats can be booked via emirates.com for travel from October 29 onwards. Emirates timings on the flights will be as follows:

  • Mumbai
    • Dubai – Mumbai (EK 500) departs Dubai at 21:50 and arrives in Mumbai at 02:15 the following day
    • Mumbai – Dubai (EK 501) departs Mumbai at 04:15 and arrives in Dubai at 06:05 same day
  • Bengaluru
    • Dubai – Bengaluru (EK 568) departs Dubai at 21:25 and arrives in Bengaluru at 02:30 the following day
    • Bengaluru – Dubai (EK 569) departs Bengaluru at 04:30 and arrives in Dubai at 07:10 the same day.

In addition to introducing Premium Economy on the retrofitted aircraft, the aircraft sports refreshed interiors, which sport Emirates’ signature ghaf tree motif.

The pricing as well sits right behind Economy and Business Class. For instance, here is a random date screen grab for the fare on the way out from India and back.

Premium Economy already features on flights to nine destinations globally, including US points New York JFK, San Francisco and Houston, in addition to London Heathrow, Sydney, Auckland, Christchurch, Melbourne and Singapore. Premium Economy cabins will also make their debut to Los Angeles in July, bringing the number of routes offering the product to 12 by the end of 2023.

With this addition to the list, one can fly to key markets such as London and various points in the US with a whole Premium Economy experience through and through.

Bottomline

Emirates will bring its A380 aircraft, which will have the Premium Economy cabin, to Mumbai and Bengaluru effective October 29, 2023. From there on, one should be able to book the flights to Dubai or as a connection to London or US with Premium Economy seating through and through.
