Emirates has been one of the leaders in terms of setting the standard for how luxurious travel can be. Showers in the air, magnificent lounges, and then the choice of champagnes and the Emirates chauffeur service. They have it all.
Emirates has now decided to discontinue one part of this fabulous service for various upgrades and award tickets. As per the T&C for Chauffeur-drive service, which has been refreshed,
Effective 1 March 2019, new Chauffeur-drive service reservations are not available in conjunction with Skywards Business and First Class Classic Rewards and Economy to Business Class Upgrades.
Chauffeur-drive service was anyways not available on reward tickets which were booked via partner rewards such as Alaska Airlines, so this impacts those who booked their redemptions on Emirates’ own Skywards programme.
This is going to be a big loss for those who frequently used to buy Economy Class tickets and then later patch up an upgrade to business class, or those who have Emirates award tickets booked. But all is not lost, if you already have a confirmed upgrade or an award reservation, just head here and book your limousine already.

Thanks for posting this! Have an award reservation in June 2019 from ATH-EWR in Business Class and had not booked the chauffeur service yet from EWR to my house. Just booked it!
