Donate your Hilton Honors points for CoVid-19 relief in India; Hilton Effect Foundation to match donations up to 50K

As the pandemic rages on in India, many organisations are stepping up to raise funds for CoVid-19 relief work in India. This now includes Hilton, which operates more than 20 hotels across India, via the Hilton Effect Foundation.

The Hilton Effect Foundation, which was formed in 2019, on the occasion of 100 years of Hilton Hotels, to date, has granted over USD 1 million to community organisations working to address the virus, including Responsenet, which supports food security initiatives; Planet Water Foundation, which drives COVID-related water and sanitation/hygiene (WASH) initiatives; and Project HOPE, which provides medical supplies.

Hilton Honors and the Hilton Effect Foundation have pledged to support relief organisations working on the ground in India and other countries grappling with the pandemic to aid those infected and fight the spread of COVID-19. And now, you can help too.

To support global response efforts, Hilton Honors members can make donations through the redemption of Points (3,500 Point minimum, or US$10) via Pointworthy, and Hilton Honors and the Hilton Effect Foundation will match all donations, up to a total of US$50,000, through June 13, 2021.

Care, Inc works in India via Care India. Direct Relief has supported the infusion of oxygen for critical patients by airlifting thousands of oxygen concentrators so far, requested medications, PPE, and financial resources for frontline health providers working to protect patients. With its local partner, MY-HEART, Project HOPE coordinates response efforts with health authorities by supplying hospitals with oxygen supplies, ICU beds, PPE kits, and other critical medical supplies.

I know on another day you could get great use of your points in other ways, but right now, as we stay home, you might want to support relief efforts with this effort.

Bottomline

If you would like to support relief efforts in India with your Hilton Honors points, you could donate via Pointsworthy using the link above. Till June 13, 2021, Hilton Honors will also match your donations 1 for one up to USD 50,000.
