Ibis, the economy brand of Accor Hotels, is opening up their 20th hotel in India, in Mumbai, in the coming weeks, and to celebrate the occasion, they are giving away stays for whatever price you want first few days.

Ibis Vikhroli to open October 15, 2021

Accor has picked an excellent location for its next hotel, in Vikhroli, in the central suburbs of Mumbai. This location is yet to be touched by the branded hotel industry, and the nearest hotels otherwise are either in Powai or Andheri East (Including the airport hotel cluster outside Mumbai Airport Terminal 2). The Chedi was supposed to open up the road, but it seems it continues to be postponed. So, in the meantime, Ibis Vikhroli will be the only branded hotel around. Right across the road is a massive business opportunity sitting in 247 Park and then the Godrej Vikhroli compound as well.

Pay What You Want at Ibis Vikhroli

To mark the opening of the 20th Ibis hotel in India, Accor offers a pay-what-you-want offer for the hotel for the first ten days of its operations. The hotel opens on October 15, 2021, and till October 25, 2021, all ALL (Accor Live Limitless) members can book a special “Pay What You Want” rate at the hotel. If you are not an ALL member, you can sign up, and once you are logged in, you should see the rate.

What does the “Pay What You Want” rate mean? This special pricing is made available on one-night stays at the hotel, and you need to book via the website and guarantee your stay with a credit card. If you don’t turn up, your credit card will be charged the full INR 3999 + taxes, but if you check-in, you will be able to pay whatever amount you’d like to pay at check out. You will be awarded points for your stay depending on the amount you pay per the rules of Accor Live Limitless.

I think this is an awesome way to generate buzz for a new hotel and get people to come on over and experience the hotel, with no risk attached to them.
